I have an idea I've been kicking around for quite some time now. I'd just need a studio to greenlight it and support this idea to make it a reality. I think many would buy into it. Message me if interested.

Brilliant sales pitch. If I were the owner of a studio, this post alone would have sold me on throwing millions of dollars at your idea. Five star post.
Let me be honest with you. No studio is going to just straight up take on an idea that's been "kicked" around for quite some time. This is something your going to have full on flesh out and write and work on and put a lot of dedication into to even have a chance of a studio taking it on.... And that chance is slim. Why? Because developers within the studios have their own ideas for games and guess who will get top priority? The dev who knows what it takes to produce a game and get it out there or some guy with an idea?
I dont want to sound mean or cruel but thats the reality of it. I am a story teller and have multiple ideas for what I think would be great video games, some I've even began to write. But I know what my odds are of that happening. So I take my sights and set them lower and have started writing my stories in book format. No it's not a video game, but it's a start of getting my stories out there.
Go send $100 on Steam Greenlight?
Make Dishwashing Simulator set on a Star Trek Space Ship.
Don't make any money.
Many people have "great ideas". Ideas are worthless unless you yourself will take the initiative to make it see the light of day!
Yes, I understand I probably should have elaborated more.
You're right. I guess I shouldn't have used "kicked around" considering I've have five years worth of story and gameplay mechanics scripted. And I tell stories as well. I'd be delighted if you elaborate on one of them.
I'll take a stab here and guess:
Zombie RPG akin to Fallout
Fallout 4 idea
TES idea
You see, I didn't want to pour my life's work out only to have someone steal it from under me...
But.... considering how popular Destroy All Humans! was and how wacky games are starting to gain momentum in the video game market
An open world, third-person game in which the player character is a sasquatch. Think something along the lines of Dead Rising, where crazed individuals served as bosses. For example, a pimp looking to make a fur coat from one of your fellow clan members. The game would revolve around tribal influence and leadership, with players working their way up to be the leader of the pack. Players would have the option to select their gender, and both genders would house different perks and skill trees. The player would begin the game housed in an enclosure at The Detroit Zoo. Why the Detroit Zoo? Why not!? In addition to volumes worth of content I've developed, the laboring task of researching factual evidence was grueling, and I care not if it's for nothing. I take passion in creativity.
Yeah, okay, so its a stupid idea. I understand. But it has potential.
Nah teenaged vampire werewolf dating sim with social links
Actually, I think that would sell. As would Mr. Spock spoofing Mr. Clean scrubbing the Enterprise while avoiding the Gorn invasion.
I think Doctor Evil can pretty much http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37OWL7AzvHo this one for me.
Just name it Persona: Cleaning All Night.
It'll be much more hype than Super Mario Sunshine ever was!
Video games have teams of writers for a reason; they don't just pick up vague ideas from people give money for the ideas. You can try getting hired on as a writer long-term, but you're going to need experience before anybody considers you. There really isn't any such thing as freelance script writing in the video game industry.
And if this is really your life's work...well, you're going to need to make other arrangements. You're never going to make a living writing a video game script and hoping someone picks it up.
Your options:
1. Learn to code, start working on it yourself
2. Start looking for people who know how to code and team up with them
3. Join an Indie dev group and try to give them your idea
4. Do nothing
What you cannot do:
1. Advertise on these forums (it's against the rules)
2. Sell it to someone (you're a nobody so you have to prove yourself before someone would consider buying something from you. You prove yourself by doing options 1-3 in the above category).
Many people have ideas and nothing comes from them. If you think your idea has real value, then you're going to have to put a lot of time and effort to make it become a reality. No one is going to give you a handout or even give you a first look (let alone a second one). To everyone in the industry right now you are a nobody and will stay a nobody until you do something.
Honestly this thread wasn't made to be taken seriously. I know that it would take a miracle to get it made, I just wanted some people to colaborate with me. As for the Dr. Evil reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HJxya0CWco I would've went with this.
