Vigilant of Stendarr build

So, those guys are pretty cool. And I haven't seen any threads about a build based on them, so here goes. Advice welcome.

Playstyle: You could think of this build as an inquisitor / witch hunter / undead hunter who operates like a battlemage. The focus is on rooting out Daedra, cultists (witches / warlocks), vampires, and other undead. Once these targets are discovered, they are destroyed through skill in arms or by divine fire.

Race: Imperial makes a lot of sense, both for lore (the Divines) and skill perks. Restoration, Destruction, Heavy Armor, and One-handed skill are all good parts of this build. FInally, Voice of the Emperor makes a very nice touch, though I haven't used it in-game yet - seems great for flavor and for swarms of bad guys.

Attributes: This build requires both magic and combat ability, so attribute distribution should be fairly even. Stamina is perhaps less important. Probably a 40% / 40% / 20% for Magicka / Health / Stamina would work.

Skills: One-handed and Destruction are primary damage-dealers. Have a mace in one hand and fire magic in the other, and perk accordingly - you want to be able to crush a few skulls and send burning foes fleeing from your wrath.

Restoration is important for healing (both self & companions) and turning undead. Ward spells could also be helpful when fighting magic-users.

Heavy armor is important for passive defense, though you won't be kitted out in full plate. A few perks in Juggernaut will help, but the "Matching set" type perks won't be as useful.

Skills to Avoid: Conjuration is anathema to you; no summoning Daedra, raising the dead, or trapping souls. Enchanting is therefore a no-no as well, but some magical gear may be appropriate. You may also find it acceptable to trap the souls of particularly wicked foes...

Gear: If you want to go for the look, get novice robes & hood, then supplement with heavy gauntlets and boots. Heavy body armor may work as well. Amulets of the Divines would be appropriate too. Get a good-looking mace to go along with the ensemble.

Companions: Try to find companions that share your outlook.... As I'm still early in the game I don't know who those could be. But you should be able to solo pretty well also, if you plan accordingly, given your capability at ranged & melee combat.

Quests: Probably avoid all major questlines and single-mindedly pursue your main objective: killing vampires, daedra-traffickers and the undead. Exploring the many haunted ruins is a good pursuit for this build, but don't neglect other places that may conceal your foes.

It's important to keep in mind that sometimes your objectives may conflict with the law... sometimes you'll want to kill dangerous heretics who keep a good public face. You can flee the guards or accept your punishment/pay the fine/go to jail, knowing it was all worth it.

Hometown: Any advice on this? Without giving spoilers, Solitude seems like a great place to get started, if you follow up on the quests you can get at the Blue Palace. But you may also be effective at going from town to town and never settling down.

General: Always keep your ears open for rumors of daedric interference, or necromantic activity, or haunted barrows. Always keep your eyes open for black-robed necromancers holing up in abandoned forts, or witches practicing unholy rites in forsaken caverns. Don't neglect your studies: read books that lead you to ancient evils, or that inspire you to keep fighting for the Divines. Keep those books with you to refer to during your travels.

That's what I've got so far... As you can tell, this is sort of a cleric style build. I'm curious to see what people think about its effectiveness, or any other ideas!
