This mod lets you travel to the lands of the Vikings! How to make a fire is a key to survival in this cold world, along with the skills to handle a weapon, as enemies lurks around every corner! Live the life of a Viking; drink mead in the longhouse, hunt in the wild, and fight off the Vanir!


Next Version: 1.6

This Version will be based mostly on immersion, and to liven up the island a bit, as well as preparing for the later expansion(s).
It will also change the name of the mod from Viking Village to 'Vikings'. (Finally)
And it also fixes a few minor glitches and bugs.



The Expansions

The Undead Scourge
This is slightly mentioned in the journal in the Watch Tower. It will be a small expansion with a deep story, meaning it won't add much content, but I am rather focusing on lore. It will feature undeads coming to the island during a heavy mist, and you will have to, together with the warriors of the village, protect the village, and uncover the mystery behind this attack.

The Vanir Invasion
This Expansion will feature an all-out attack on the village. You'll have to protect what's left of the village after the undead scourge. It will add a whole new continent, with two new villages.

Revenge of the Vikings (Working Title)
This Expansion features the revenge of the Vikings, and you will, with the Viking King, strike back at the Vanirs, and invade their homeland.

I actually downloaded this a few days ago on PES. I liked it, and it was made well, but there definelty was room for improvement. Everything was so... clean. It's hard to explain. It's like you had the base down perfectly but you needed to add those viking touches.

Maybe you could make it a little bit more, less real life? Turn Christendom into Akatosh Worship or something similar, and have priests of akatosh. And make the vikings Nords, that ain't too civilized. It'll integrate a little better into the lore. And I don't realy like the idea of killing Christian Priests :)

@Mishaxhi - Yes, you're right, it is a little clean. If though, you mean that the village and houses are too clean? I'll add some chairs lying around in the longhouse, and a lot of dirty stuff lying around in the village. If you got any suggestions for what I can add, please share them :)

@Johny Obliv - Well, the idea of this mod was to have Vikings, so I won't change them to Nords, and this mod is meant to be very much real life, based on the Norse Mythology. And Christendom plays a big role in it's fall.
Well, I'm a Christian myself, but remember, it's just a game :P (Maybe I'll make an option for the quest to, instead of helping the Vikings, you'll help the priests...)

Oh ok, I get ya. An option to help the Priests would be realy nice, because it would be a quest only for evil characters, if you didn't include that.

Well, I wouldn't call it evil... It depends on how you look upon it. The Vikings didn't like that he priests spread their religion, and converted many people, and it was in their nature to act very brutally, so they killed them. So, what I'm saying is that the priest came to their lands and changed everything, when the Vikings just wanted everything to be like they was before, and therefore they reacted in this way.

EDIT: Remember, the church killed anyone who stood in their way too, THAT'S evil! (As you've probably guessed, I have no love for the church of old times...)

Well, you're right, it ain't realy evil. But an option to choose would be nice though :P

I probably wont download this even though my next playthrough this mod would be perfect for my character (sea elf that seeks aylead artifacts - doing island and village quests). Its just that - christianity vs vikings is not "lore" friendly to cyrodil...if you were to change it to more of the cyrodil fight between believers and unbelievers of cryodil gods - then I would gladly play your mod. I am not sure, but your concept is unique to most if not all mods which make it attractive, but its just not cyrodil. Just my 2 cents imho.

wow dude. you know if it bugs you that much, you could just think of it as the Vikings are believers in a Daedric Cult, and the missionaries were from an ancient time, long before the Empire, who were trapped in a Daedric Realm. after many ages, they have come back from the realm, and want to convert the Vikings and set up a base.

I'm sorry that i never wrote you back on making a story to your mod, but i really don't have the time to do it.

Maybe when you're done with this expansion pack then i will see if i have the time ;D
I still got a whole lot of ideas just need to get the time to write them down ;)
