Vilja means willpower
Vilja in Swedish means willpower, guts, determination. And that is something Vilja has got lots of!
When she inherits a mysterious bottle from her grandmother, the young Solstheim girl decides to go to Skyrim to find out the truth about its content. But, things haven't turned out as Vilja has hoped. After travelling the hostile roads of Skyrim for months with her horse Bruse, she still hasn't found the only person who can help her, and now someone has stolen the bottle! She may be brave, but now she needs help!
You'll find Vilja in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. Will you help her? Will you let her come along with you, and will you help her in her missions? Yes, over time it will turn out that she also has another, secret, reason to be in Skyrim. In fact, if you let her tag along with you, you will find that her quests will mingle with your quests for a very long time to come, and you will learn to know quite a few interesting and fully voiced side-characters.
Vilja is a companionmod with quests, rather than a questmod with a companion. So, what is the difference? Well, you should never feel "forced" to play Vilja's quests instead of your own. They should be a natural, integrated part of your life in Skyrim, but last for a long time.
Vilja doesn't only have her own agenda - she also has her hopes and visions, her thoughts and opinions, and a background story that she will share with you over time.
Her dream is to become a bard, but as all women in her family traditionally become alchemists, this is what her family expects also of her.
She isn't the best fighter in the world (why would she then need your help?), nor the best marksman, and when it comes to spells, she starts with only a teleport spell and basic healing. However, this will surely change over time, and she will become more and more efficient. She also has a broad range of other features, and she will certainly change your lonely life in Skyrim, as she is talkative, curious and very unpredictable.
Brief overview
With multiple quest lines, unique abilities and around 4000 lines of voiced dialog, Vilja should keep you entertained for many, many game-hours to come. But her dialog and features have evolved so far that even her creators can't keep track of it all. There are many surprises tucked away in her dialog topics and we encourage you to just try them all. This is just a brief overview of her features and what differs her from other companions/followers.
- Around 4000 lines of fully voiced dialog. Vilja is by default very talkative, but if it is too much for you (which would be understandable), you can easily adjust the settings in her dialog (Main topic: Travel together). She won't be upset with you even if you tell her to keep completely quiet.
- Improved following behaviour. In order to make Vilja follow as well as possible, she will warp to you whenever she gets stuck. This will only happen when you are not watching, so if you notice she is stuck, just turn away from her and continue to walk. Vilja also has a summon spell that you will have access to as soon as you have completed the very first part of her quest. (It is activated with the shout-key). If you should lose track of her, you will be able to find her by activating her quest - a questmarker will then show you where she is.
Vilja has the Lightfoot perk, so she is unlikely to be the victim of common traps.
By default, Vilja will follow you with a behaviour similar to other followers, but through dialog you can choose to allow her to sandbox while following (similar to the Dawnguard companion Serana), which will make her a little more lively. The sandbox behaviour can be toggled on and off in dialog (Main topic: Travel together)
- Disposition system. Her disposition towards you will change over time and depend on your actions towards her and towards the rest of your environment. If she is really mad at you, she will surely let you know, but you will also spot that her current disposition towards you will be mirrored in what she says and how she responds.
Of course there are also ways to improve her disposition. For instance, she enjoys a sweetroll or something to drink. You can give her a compliment, thank her or give her a gift, and sometimes this will lead to an increased disposition. And as a bard-wanna-be, she will of course like it if you care to listen to her music.
- Inventory system. Because of some technical difficulties, we have decided to wait until ver 1.5 with the full inventory system we originally planned for Vilja. In ver 1.4, her inventory system has been partially improved compared to previous versions: you can tell her to wear armor or to wear clothes, you can tell her to wear or not wear cloaks, jewelry, equipment. If she is wearing clothes, she can auto-switch to armor whenever in combat (provided, of course, that she has any armor in her inventory and that you haven't told her to fight wearing clothes). You can toggle whether or not she will undress if she is swimming. She has a special nightgown that she will use when she is at home and is going to bed. Her inventory also containes extra storage: two bags where you can tell her to store items you don't want her to use ingame, and a special container where you can put things that you want her to sell for you. If her horse Bruse is in the neighborhood, you can also ask her to store things in his saddlebags. These items will of course only be accessible when Bruse is around!
- Detailed fighting instructions. You can tell Vilja if she should participate in fights or stay out of trouble. You can also tell her whether her fighting style should be ranged or melee. Later on she will learn to use different spells, and you will then be able to finetune which of these spells she should use. As soon as you finished the very first part of her quest, you will receive three "commands" (activated with the shout-key) that you can use to give Vilja quick-instructions during battle: Vilja Attack!, Vilja Stop Fighting!, Vilja - Stop Fighting and Follow me!
- Configurable features. Within her topic "Travel together" you can configure various things regarding her behaviour, her wardrobe, her pvssyr, essential/protected etc. You can also configure some of her habits.
- Healing. From start, Vilja can only heal herself during combat, but later on she will also be able to keep you healed.
- Sparring. You can practice your fighting skills together with her in a friendly combat. You can also let her practice fighting skills with your housecarls, or you and your housecarls can practice sparring.
- Crafting. Different from vanilla followers, Vilja can actually use crafting stations! Provided, of course, that you give her the correct material. She may not use them for the same purposes as you, though. Here is a list of what she will do:
Cooking pot: Vilja will cook various meals for you, depending on what ingredients she has in her inventory
Alchemy station: Vilja will make various potions, depending on what ingredients she has in her inventory.
Enchantment station: Vilja cannot do anything useful at enchantment stations.
Forge: Vilja can use the forge to create lockpicks for you, provided that she has at least one Iron ingot
Workbench: Vilja can use the workbench to fletch arrows, provided that she has at least ten pieces of firewood and an ingot of iron, steel, silver or dwarven.
Tanning rack: Vilja will use the tanning rack the same way as you do. Give her pelts, and she will turn them into leather. If she has leather but no pelts, she will turn leather into leather strips.
Sharpening wheel: Vilja cannot do anything useful at the sharpening wheel.
Smelter: Vilja can use the smelter the same way as you do, provided that she has ore.
Chopping block: Vilja can, like other followers, use the chopping block to chop wood.
Mining: If Vilja has a pickaxe, she can help you mining.
Vilja can also do some simple crafting on the fly, without any crafting stations:
- Simple potions. If you can provide one ingredient, Vilja can make simple potions like healing, restore magicka, restore stamina and cure diesease without having access to an alchemy station. With ver 1.4, she can also learn to make new potions if you give her a recipe.
- Cooking. If Vilja has appropriate ingredients in her inventory, she can cook you a meal on the fly.
- Torches. If she has firewood and linenwraps, she can make torches for you.
-Horseriding and Mounted combat. Vilja is not a standard follower but an unique stand-alone companion. She has her own horse, which she will summon and use whenever you are riding. You can also tell her to ride when you are not riding. With ver 1.4, we have incorporated mounted combat and dynamically speed adjustment for Bruse.
- Lead the way. Vilja doesn't always have to follow your lead. YOU can also go adventuring with HER. Yes, you can actually be her companion. She might suggest it, or you can suggest that she takes the lead. She might show you places you've never seen before! It's a very different and rewarding roleplay-experience to travel side by side instead of having a companion always five steps behind you. This feature was originally introduced with Oblivion Vilja, but Skyrim Vilja will do the same thing.
- Teamleader. You can ask other followers to follow Vilja instead of you. That way, you can act more strategically in a dungeon. Or you can simply use it to send Vilja and other followers to wait for you in a different location. Or just let them go on a stroll together.
- Quest-related pvssyr. Vilja knows what is happening around her, and will, once you have travelled together for a little while, start to comment on some of the vanilla-quests you are doing. This will be further expanded on in later versions. (She is currently rather oblivious of what is going on within the Thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood).
- Place-related pvssyr. Vilja will always have opinions on the places you are visiting. She will often tell you spontaneously, but you can also ask her through dialog.
- Interaction with other followers. Vilja interacts with many of the vanilla followers on various levels, from basic to quite advanced. For the best experience, I suggest that you go exploring with Vilja and either Lydia, Aela, J’zargo, Jenassa, Farkas or Argis, and you will soon find that Vilja not only interacts with them - they will reply, and sometimes they will be involved in quite lenghty discussions. Similar but more generic interaction will happen also with Iona, Ria, Benor, Stenvar, Ahtar, Illia, Uthgerd, Adelaisa and Anneke Crag-Jumper, as well as J'zargo, Kharjo, Jenassa and Aranea, and (new in ver 1.5) with any custom made follower or spouse that uses the same voicefolders as one of these. These voicefolders are currently Female Commander, Female Dark Elf, Female Eventoned, Male Brute and Male Khajiit. With some other popular follower, Vilja has simple interaction, i.e. Vilja will know that they are there and sometimes comment on them, but they will not respond and there will be no discussions between them. These followers are Mjoll, Erik the Slayer and Calder. Interaction with other followers, hopefully also custom-made, will be expanded in future versions.
- Creating a home. You can tell Vilja where you want her to live, and when she is in this location and in wandermode, she will adapt a daily schedule that involves everything from cooking and cleaning to playing music, reading books, discussing with other followers and going for walks. She will of course have special dialog for when she is at home.
- Making a campsite. With ver 1.4 Vilja has her own tent and can make a Frostfall-compatible campsite and campfire.
- Reading books. Vilja will be happy to read books for you. From start, she only has one book that she can read, but she will tell you about other books that she'll read for you once she has them.
- Collecting and cleaning. Vilja can help you to collect various items like arrows, weapons and, of course, ingredients. You can also tell her to "clean up the mess" and she will then appear to use a broom to do so.
- Spellcasting. From start, Vilja can only use some simple spells for healing and teleporting. As her quests progress, she will eventually learn a range of other spells. Nothing really fancy, though, as she is not supposed to be a spellcaster. You will be able to finetune through dialog what spells you want her to use. New in ver 1.4: Once Vilja has learnt the frist basic spells through her questline, you will be able to teach her more spells (although not every spell) by giving her spelltomes.
- Shopping. You can tell Vilja to go shopping for you, and either determine what kind of wares you want her to buy or leave that decision to her (good way to raise her disposition, although you might not always be so impressed with what she draggs home). She has a special container in her inventory where you can place things that you want her to sell for you - the outcome of her bartering will depend on her speechcraft skill. Vilja will sometimes go shopping spontaneously. This will only happen when you are in one of the main cities and she will always tell you in advance.
- Skills report. In the main topic "Let's just talk for a while" you can ask Vilja about her current skills. This will also expose how much she currently likes you.
- Play games. Vilja is childish and she enjoys playing games. You can race her to various destination, you can play rock, paper, scissors and you can practice sparring with her.
- Playing music. Vilja is a bard-wanna-be, and is always happy to play for you. From start, she can only play the drums, but after completing some of her quests, she will be able to play flute and lute as well. Thanks to Adrien Ortone (KindaInappropriate) (lute) and Bosa123 (flute) she also has her very own music that she can play.
- Playing for the audience. Once you have completed some of Vilja's quests, she will be able to entertain the audience in some of the inns, and she will actually even earn some money on it! It is up to you to decide when or if she should play for the audience.
- Roleplaying features. To enhance the gameplay for roleplayers, there are many features included that aren't vital functionalitywise. You can for instance buy her drinks at inns, thank her if she has been of great help, you can tell her when you give her something precious, you can give her compliments, and if you are romancing her, you can tell her that you love her. She will also occasionally ask for your opinion on more serious and in-depth matters, where you can pick choices according to your characters personality (or, of course, the choice you hope will please her).
- Introducing an infamous Solstheim tradition. I think those who played Oblivion Vilja will grin and immediately guess what we have been up to... For those who haven't got a clue, we suggest that you head for one of the inns, buy Vilja a few drinks and give them to her through the special dialog option that show up only inside inns. It shouldn't take many drinks before she will show you what the Solstheim people do when they are celebrating.
- Romance and marriage. Vilja finds the whole idea of using a silly amulet as some kind of advertisemant quite repulsive. To her, love is about friendship and trust. If you want to romance her, you will be able to do so, eventually, but only after you learnt to know her better and her main mission in Skyrim is completed. The romance included in this version is very basic and doesn't include marriage. The romance will be expanded on in future versions, and will then of course also include the option to marry her.
- Cyrodiil Vilja. Through e-mails, forum-posts and PMs, I have learnt that there are many players who want Vilja to be the very same person as in Cyrodiil. Therefore, I have added in a special option for those who want to roleplay this. At the end of the very first part of her quest, you will have a dialog-option that allows you to decide that she is your long-lost friend or lover, and if you choose this option, her backgroundstory and some other aspects and comments will change accordingly.
New in ver 1.5:
- Vilja will now interact with ANY follower, including modder-made ones, and ANY player-spouse that uses one of the vanilla voice-types that Vilja has special interaction with. Currently, this includes the following voice-types: Female Commander (for instance Aela), Female DarkElf (for instance Jenassa), Female Eventoned (for instance Lydia), Male Brute (for instance Farkas), Male Khajiit (for instance J'zargo). More is in the works.
- around 10 new scenes added, some for each voice-type.
- +60 new dialog entries for Vilja added.
- Vilja can now correctly use the unequipall-command, which means that she for instance will auto-undress when using the bathing facilities in Luxuary Suite.
- The bugs with Vilja mounting Bruse and Bruse visiting your house that have been present since ver 1.4 should now hopefully be resolved.
- Improved meshes for Vilja's green and blue dresses.
- Minor tweaks, adjustments and fixes.
Change-log ver 1.4:
- Mounted combat. Vilja can fight enemies from the horseback. (We hope to further improve this feature in the next version).
- Vilja can wear cloaks, pouches, jewelry also when she is wearing armor, and you can configure her behaviour. For instance, you can tell her to not wear helmet indoors in cities, you can tell her whether or not she is supposed to combine jewelry and armor or armor and backpacks.
- You can now teach Vilja to cast various spells from spelltomes (but only after she has learnt her first spells through her questline). (Of course you won't be able to teach her to cast a fireball. Vilja can't cast fireballs, if she could, she would have to stop bugging the player about that she wants to learn how to do it)
- You can teach her to make new potions from all the ingame recipes.
- She will only say SayOnce-comments once (We made a cure for the SayOnce-bug from Skyrim ver 1.7 that makes npcs repeat SayOnce-entries at each game-reload).
- More interaction with vanilla followers. She has quite a few new interactive scenes with J'zargo, Kharjo, Jenassa and Aranea, and some new also with the the Farkas - Aela - Lydia voicetypes (i.e. the followers that she already previously had scenes with). She also has scenes with Rayya (Hearthfire housecarl), who has the same voicetype as Aela.
- Campfire and Campsite. Vilja can make a Campfire and she can set up her own tent where the two of you can sleep when you are traveling together. Both campfire and campsite are Frostfall-compatible!
- Vilja can now shed light. In her topic "Would you please do me a favour" she has a topic for "shed light". This will make her cast a custom spell that looks quite nice. When it wears off, she will cast it again until you tell her to stop sheding light.
- Vilja's dialog tree has been reworked and should hopefully be more intuitive now. In the main topic "Travel together", you will also find an overview over decisions you have made (fighting style, essential/protected, whether or not she should swim in her outfit etc).
- If you find some of her habits really annoying, you can configure them so she will stop doing them (only after you have known her for some days, of course!). Like asking to lead the way or suggesting what to do next or wander off to inns to have a drink.
- She has a new system for "being thirsty" - put drinks in her inventory and she will use them instead of asking you for something to drink. Once she has been drinking them all, she'll be complaining until you give her new drinks.
-You can now toggle whether or not you want Vilja to remove her outfit when she is swimming
- An alternate follow-distance has been incorporated for those who feels that she is pushing them off cliffs and such.
- Vilja has a new, more immersive, way to summon her horse Bruse.
- Bruse has a functional speed multiplyer and should always keep up with the players horse (but you have to ride your horse once since you installed the mod before this will work!!)
- Bruse has new unique textures (by Lycanthrops).
- Leifur has a new improved texture (by Lycanthrops)
- More awareness. She will recognize and comment on corpses, in particular if a Friend dies, both when it happens and occasionally afterwards (if Lydia dies, for instance, she is not unlikely to mention how empty Breezehome seems without her, when you are in Breezehome that is)
- More random pvssyr and more randome scenes with various npcs.
- Lots of new place-, quest- and people- pvssyr related to the college of Winterhold.
- Lots of new place-related pvssyr, among other things when Vilja visits orc strongholds.
- The schedule Vilja uses when she is "at home" has been expanded - among other things she might occasionally wander off for the pub in the evening.(And if she has other followers in tow, they will of course tag along with her)
- Some slight changes have been made to Vilja's background story in order to make it better match the looks of Solstheim (like "I left from Raven Rock" instead of "I left from Fort Frostmoth")
- Vilja now has alternate traders to go to if the original ones are dead. She won't go shopping on her own initiative if the original traders are dead, but you can
still tell her to go and do shopping in all cities. If also the alternate traders are dead, she will default to "well, where do you want me to go and shop, as I cannot do any shopping here?". I.e. no more instances of scenes that aren't running properly because the trader is dead.
- Cured some noteable bugs, like the one making her go forever silent if she is told to shut up. Also some smaller glitches, like Vilja walking away after visiting Tel Mithryn, have been attended to.
- Further tweaking of the dialog, hopefully she should now never talk about irrelevant things in dungeons. And hopefully the feeling of her being "nagging" should be gone.
Changelog for ver 1.3:
- More awareness: Vilja will know if you are a werewolf, approximately how many dragons you have killed, if you are good at alchemy, pickpocketing etc and she may comment on it. She is also more aware of specific enemy types and may comment on this as well. She has always known if you are a vampire but may comment on it a bit more often.
- More pvssyr- and singing entries, as well as more options for book-reading.
- Continued finetuning to ensure she shouldn't get too repetetive. The caveate regarding SayOnce comments (see Caveate section) is still valid, though, so she might still repeat herself on game reload.
- Continued finetuning of dialog conditions. For instance, she should no longer ever talk to a disabled Lydia or pvssyr if you summon her to Sovngard.
- Fixed a glitch in her dialog that made her repeat the same greeting over and over again during a certain stage of the romance upstart.
- Friendly hugs. The hug-kill-bug should now be gone for good. You no longer need to be romancing Vilja in order to hug her - once you have finished her bottle-quest, you will be able to give her a friendly hug.
- New configuration-option: You can toggle if Vilja should or shouldn't talk when you have your weapon readied (by default she will be quiet).
- Enchanted armor will no longer have extra bonus from Vilja's increasing magic skills.
- Vilja will now use crossbows in an appropriate way.
- A glitch with the sparring has been cured.
- Followers following Vilja should now never wander around naked and their inventories should function appropriately. Please note that users of the AFT cannot make Lydia follow Vilja and you have to dismiss followers in order for them to follow Vilja or to sparr with her or you.
- No more armor vanishing from Vilja's extra storages.
- Eliminated UFO commands from Vilja's dialog.
- Bruse will no longer turn transparent.
- Cured som factions related problems that could affect the behaviour.
- All instances of Vilja attacking people who are brawling with you should now be gone.
- Vilja's shopping markers should now be fully compatible with mods like Open cities, even if these mods are installed-uninstalled-installed multiple times.
- The Vilja Reset spell has been expanded and will for instance remove paralysis, unconsciosness and restore speed. If you resurrect her, always use the Reset-spell on her afterwards, in order to restore her necessary armor blockers!
- A couple of small surprises. I will not ruin them by telling about them, but one is associated to dragons and the other to romance.
Changelog for ver 1.2:
- The voice-files have now been cleaned and should be of better quality (thank you, Xtudo!)
- Better system for Vilja's pvssyr-control. You can now reliable determine how often you want her to pvssyr. She still starts at full pvssyr-speed, though! (Please note that after a game-reload
she might still utter a few phrases rapidly - please see section "Caveats" below).
- Vilja's healing of the player should now work a lot better and be more reliable.
- Vilja should now always keep quiet when the player has a weapon drawn or a spell prepared.
- Vilja should now talk less and (almost) always whisper while sneaking.
- Romance: Vilja can now give you a hug - topic "let's just talk for a while"-&--#62;"Would you give me a hug", and sometimes spontaneously.
- Sparring: Both you and Vilja can now spar with your housecarls, and as a bonus, housecarls can also spar with each other. (This feature is only available once Vilja has her flute back)
- Other followers can now follow Vilja instead of you. Use it for strategic dungeon-crawling, or to get Lydia out of that chair. Or simply send Vilja and the rest to a nice inn! Works with up to
10 followers, although you should use this feature with caution on modder-made followers with advanced AI, as it could potentially interfere with their programming.
- When sneaking, Vilja will avoid combat until either she or you are detected; she won't rush in even if other followers do.
- Vilja will react faster when either you or she are being attacked.
- Vilja's spells will be more powerful as she gains levels in the required skills.
- If you for unknown reasons are forced to uninstall/reinstall the Vilja-mod, you can now restore the quest progress to approx where you were before uninstalling. Talk to Vilja about "serious
matters - We have already done some of your quests", and a new npc, Beata, will temporary show up in the Bannered Mare. Talk to her in order to restore the questlines to where you were before.
Note: as the quests are pretty much non-linear, you might need to skip back and forth in Beata's dialog to cover all quests and all other aspects such as romance and background story.
- Cured a bug that made Vilja pvssyr non-stop when sitting down during a scene.
- Vilja's ability to keep quiet during scenes or when player is in dialog has been hugely improved. She is still always allowed to talk inside inns, though!
- More filtering of dialog entries to try to further reduce unwanted repetitiveness of her pvssyr. (Please note that after a game-reload she might still repeat a few phrases rapidly - please see
section "Caveats" below).
- You can now toggle Leifur's barking on and off.He will always be silent while you are sneaking or have a weapon/fist/spell readied.
- Leifur can now sneak and deliver sneak attacks. (He might sometimes become semitransparent while sneaking but will be fully visible again when you exit sneaking mode).
- Bruse will no longer participate in combats and will not turn aggressive if accidently hit by other teammates.
- No worldspace edits anymore. This removes any incompatibility with mods that edit them, as 'open cities'.
- All entries where Vilja is leading the way to Orc strongholds have been altered so that she now ends up outside the stronghold.
- When you tell Vilja that you need to separate for a while and that she should stay at home, she will no longer automatically go into follow mode when you talk to her at her home.
- Adjusted settings in order to make the romance progress a little faster (she can now talk about romance from afternoon and until morning).
- Cured some small conflicts with Dawnguard and Hearthfire (the most serious one being Minette not being adoptable).
- Improved stability and removal of log related warning messages.
Changelog ver 1.1.1:
- Vilja should now keep quiet during player's dialog with other npcs and during scenes (exception: she is allowed to pvssyr inside inns, as everyone else is pvssyring there)
- Vilja should now keep quiet when told to do so, and if told to talk less, she should talk considerably less (although still sometimes say a few sentences rapidly after one another).
- Corrected her inventory behaviour - instead of unlimited, her loot bags can now carry up to 600 units.
- Corrected how the value is calculated when Vilja is selling things for the player.
- Added a missing voice entry and some missing lipsync-files.
- Bruse's speed should now be dynamic depending on the speed of the player's horse. Bruse should now also stop a bit further behind the player horse. A safety-behaviour has been added so that if vilja can not dismount the normal way, she will still get off the horseback.
- A bug with her armor usage introduced with ver 1.1 should now be cured.
- A small bug regarding Vilja's behaviour when told to attack non-hostile npcs has now been corrected.
- Additional npcs from the Vilja mod should now be removed once Vilja's questlines have been finished.
- If Vilja is told to leave for good, her spells will now be removed.
Changelog ver 1.1:
- Cleaned two ITM-entries that previous version of TES5Edit didn't find. Also cleaned some unnecessary edits of vanilla-dialog to ensure better compatibility with follower overhaul mods.
- Cured an issue with Vilja getting encumbered after frequent shopping-tours.
- Corrected a problem with Vilja's face texture. NOTE! The included face texture is optimized for UNP and vanilla bodies. If you are using other popular body mods, please chose the appropriate face texture in the Optional Files section!
- Cured the conflicts with follower overhauls, includding UFO, Convenient horses, AFF and AFT. In the case of Convenient horses, those that already have problems for using the tapping for things like access inventory with Whiterun's player horse, may need to mount that horse once more before the problem is corrected (and of course, save the game after doing so).
- Vilja should no longer warp to you if you have told her to wait for her in an inn or at home. (This correction should also take care of other problems when she warps to you at the wrong occasions).
-The mounting is now faster and more reliable and she shouldn't run away while calling Bruse. Fixed also her riding at huge speed when you mount sneaking and then dismount.
- Various other script tweaks to improve her behaviour.
- Corrected an error with her behaviour in the Falkreath Inn - now it should be OK to offer her drinks also there!
- Altered her combat behaviour when sneaking. Vilja should now engage in combat as soon as she is aware that the player is in combat (i.e. as soon as the player's health is lower than 98 %). We will work on this further for upcoming versions, feedback is welcome!
- Changed the dialog so that a certain person will explain why she won't allow you to escort her anywhere before you have completed another part of Vilja's quests.
- Added a new "Emergency-section" to Vilja's dialog (Main topic Travel together -&--#62; We need to discuss some serious matters.) Here, you can find solutions to problems that have been reported which we have been unable to reproduce (in particular scenes not starting) and to "wrong" choices you might have made that cannot easily be corrected with a console command (Cyrodiil Vilja versus Skyrim Vilja). Please note that this section should be used with caution, and if you skip a whole scene, you will lose out on immersion. Please also report your problems in the Vilja-feedback thread on Nexus, as it is only by your reports that we can learn about and correct issues with this mod!

Vilja in Solstheim
- new Add-on for Vilja in Skyrim
available in the download section
Requires: Vilja in Skyrim, Skyrim.esm, Dragonborn.esm
Ever since the Skyrim expansion Dragonborn was released, players have been asking when there will be an add-on for Vilja in Skyrim that will make it more immersive to bring Vilja with them to Solstheim, the place she refers to as her home.
This is a first attempt.
As we have seen, the Solstheim that Bethesda envisioned doesn't really match what Vilja has been talking about (as my original vision of her home was based on the Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon and the way Solstheim appeared there).
But, of course Bethesda hasn't told us the whole story. They will only let us go to one of the islands in the Solstheim archipelago! Vilja's family of course lives on another island, which isn't suffer from any bad influence from the eruption of the Red Mountain 200 years ago.
In this expansion, you will at least for now not be able to go and visit Vilja's family. But Vilja, the Solstheim girl, can explain why, and she can also offer you company, guidance and gossip as you travel the available part of Solstheim together.
The expansion includes more than 100 new comments on people, quests and events in Solstheim. Vilja can also lead the way to various places, and occasionally guide you to certain quest-locations.
