Heya, so I find it extremely weird that I cannot get off the Vertbird once I'm on it. I can get on it just fine, but I can't give it directions of where to go and when I get it to land it takes off as soon as it touches land, which does not allow me to get off the Virtbird.

Any idea why?

Select a fast travel point in the Pip Boy Map for travel destination.

The E or activate key is how to land it or disembark it if it has not already taken off.

Have you tried these?

The hud targeting map only displays when wearing power armor as well.

Yes! I in fact tried that. (on ps4 btw) Either way, it tells me that I can't fast travel. First time I used it on the quest Show No Mercy (I think it was) it worked just fine.

You can only select destinations you've already visited.

Can't fast travel usually means enemies in the area searching for you, or a possible fast travel bug.
Going into sneak mode until the sneak bar goes to hidden usually allows one to fast travel in the first case, though hunting down the bad guys and snuffing them is a bit more satisfying.

Thing is, I was inside the vertbird and I was just flying around with no destination. I even was on the plane's minigun. That's what I found weird.

You might want to load an earlier save and stop using the vertibird from now on. It sounds bugged. Lol If I thought they had parachutes on board Id suggest trying to jump out, but nah, youd probably just go splat on the ground. BoS with parachutes. Itd take one helluva parachute to slowly land someone with power armor. Lol But they don't need it. Save em for the scribes.

Just jump out of that plane with PA, no worries
