Virus Problem On Laptop

Post » Fri Jun 13, 2014 5:43 pm

I have a or multiple viruses on my Laptop mentioned in another thread, i will note that all my posts come from my Mobile, so thats how i am able to post.

My problems lay in that when ever i search something, anything there is another page created with the starting url "jdr.path" i regret not getting norton when i got the PC some year or so ago, and i even used public Wifi.

I have since been forced to use that wifi to try to install norton, i have only gotten to the choose a plan page, and it freezes, today i have given up due to timed schedule, but figured i would ask.

Also i am unsure if this goes is the Community Tech thread, i suppose i will know if this gets locked.

Forget Norton. Get a free anti-virus like avast! or Bitdefender. Also get a scanner like Malwarebytes and run that now and then (the scanner should be installed alongside your antivirus, it offers no real time protection!)

If you can't get to any of those before you crash (avast! in particular is a big download) grab a zip drive and find a way to get a portable antivirus like http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/five-apps/five-portable-antivirus-and-antimalware-tools-to-carry-with-you-at-all-times/ on it. If you don't have a zip drive you might want to get one (they're still pretty handy). Then run it in Safe Mode.
