Don't be stoopid, stoopid.
You're gonna die. Quickly.

You also destroy the concept of realism that HC mode was supposed to instil by destroying all concepts of being "sane."

How do you make water? Besides that it seems pretty normal. I've never had a spot where I had to buy ammo or stimpaks or food. There's enough to scrounge and craft that it's never a problem.

Yep that's what living is the post-apocalypse is like: you die fast.
Speaking of which, this play-through should be a dead is dead, too.

So what you're saying is that the game is so absolutely hardcoe that the blood vessels in your brain HEMORRHAGE from the sheer hardcoeNESS of the hardcoe mode, causing massive brain damage which makes you unable to do anything a functioning mentally handicapped person would be able to, such as making monetary transactions?

I agree. I hate bullet sponges, how come you playing on very-hard?

How about you can only carry one rifle type weapon. No more than 2 or 3 hand guns. Do not carry 50 sticks of dynamite, maybe what 5? If you go swimming, you have to take your clothes off and everything else. You can't carry nothing, because how do you swim wiht that stuff?

No Doctor bags unless medical is over 75. That is what you need to pass to become a Doctor correct?

Roll play your character. If you do not like killing, do not even kill even when being attacked, or kill if that is your only option to survive. If you are really cocky, then play Dead is Dead as was suggested. I do not understand the no quick save. Are you saying no saves at all? No difference between a quick save and a regular save. Always save just in case of crashes, glitches or computer/console freezes.

Carry no more than 25 bobby pins or less. Don't carry alot of caps. Imagine all those pointy caps in your front pockets. Would be very sory after a while. Hope this helps, happy gaming.

I actually think that could be pretty fun also try adding limiting the amount of things you can carry such as ammo guns stims ect.

I like very hard difficulty much better. Even very hard was simply too easy in FO3 if you get a lot of stimpaks.

I'm playing hardcoe + very hard and VATS no longer makes me invincible, which is an excellent feature. I don't know if this is due to very hard mode or hardcoe mode. I don't think I would enjoy the game at less than very hard level.

I don't see the point of no quicksaves because it's not any slower than simply saving other than opening the menu. I like the idea of turning off my laptop when I need to and picking up in the same place the next day, so I would not stop saving my game.

I'm trying to go through with no fast travel at all. I got crippled by some powder gangers and I was hobbling away trying to find a doctor. I have a doctor bag but I want to save it in case my head is crippled, or in case of emergency, so I've been playing as a cripple since yesterday ;-)

I love hardcoe mode and I think it's a great start toward a more balanced and immersive game, but there are a few key areas where it needs a Mod to improve gameplay with the following tweaks:

- a lot less effective reduction of FOD SLP DEH when drinking, eating, sleeping.

- less or no HP boost from drinking from the ubiquitous drinking fountains, toilets, sinks (or massive RAD penalty)

- slightly more weight to ammo, or lower carrying capacity overall

- possibly stronger penalties for dehydration/hunger/sleepiness

- maybe no HP from drinking water at all

Why would you not be allowed to buy things exactly? Makes no sense, I'm hardcoe IRL and I buy my hard lemonade at the store like a boss.

Speaking of saving the Doctor Bag for a head wound. If you have a head wound, maybe you need to rest for a 3 days doing nothing. If you need to use a doctor bag, then maybe say 7 days of waiting and sleeping? You shouldn't be fully recovered from serious wounds. I would say months, but that would make the game boring then.

So say if you are seriously wounded, then you have to sneak where ever you go, because you have to move slow.

i would like to see it as if you die, your dead. also restrict the number of quicksaves and have them reset every couple days. of course it would have to go a little more in depth for it to work, like you can only use a free save if you exit the game so if you need to get off you won't be forced to use one of your saves.

I'd just make it no buying anything, from anyone, either. If you can't find it or take it from the world, you can't have it.

Thus, no need to collect loot just to sell it. Just play without merchants.

I could never do this. Part of the fun is selling and buying the really expensive item.

True, but I haven't found too much that can only come from traders. Since everything you can buy can also be found in the world, you could do this in FONV. It's not like Neverwinter Nights, where only the vendors have good stuff!
