Visit Atherius

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:42 am

I wonder is Bethesda will make it possible to visit Atherius in Skyrim

After exploring the Deadlands of Mehrunes Dagon and the Shivering Isles of the Madgod , my interest in seeing some of the other realms has grown.

However instead of another realm of Oblivion I would like to see Atherius...

The only thing that can top this is if the PC is allowed to create a realm

I wouldn't mind taking a break from the harsh winter in a warm place. Just not the realm of oblivion. That's a little too warm, if you ask me.

I doubt it. Oblivion is one thing, but Aethrius is a lot different

If you would like to build a spaceship and fly through a star, go ahead. Personally, I'd rather have a conversation with Hermaeus Mora.

for the sake of the thread I was wondering if you'd maybe say what Atherius is, exactly...

I'd like to visit Aetherius again, sure! But in Daggerfall it's just a bunch of rocks in the void basically, so I voted a new realm in Oblivion.

Aetherius is basiclly a huge void where dead non-earthbound people's souls journey I believe.

According to the article it's also the origin of magicka.

Yeah, Aetherius is cool and all but not much to see. If it came down to that or a new Daedric realm, I think the choice is obvious. New Daedric realm.

Also, "create your own realm" is called the Construction Set. :P

Apocrypha would be awesome, maybe you have to go in to find a book on how to kill Alduin. That would be cool.

I disagree, the only thing that can top it is to be able to cook mexican cuisine and get the much anticipated "Bean Burrito Achievement".

I'm going to have to second that whole statement.

Aetherius is as inert as Han Solo in carbonite. Nothing happens except at the edge of Oblivion, where the limitless potential of existence is suddenly unlocked by the adversity of chaotic change and magicka and the very stuff of creation is sent hurtling off through the wheel, perhaps to hit Mundus on the way.

The Aedra don't live there. Their coffin planets are stuck orbiting Nirn.

How about not visiting any daedric realm or the aetherius. Also, there is no way in hell we should be able to create our own realm. Mankar couldn't, he bumbed off of Mehrunes Dagon, and the Battlespire project took a lot of man power.

Apocrypha would be awesome, maybe you have to go in to find a book on how to kill Alduin. That would be cool.
You do realize that his entire realm is nothing but a giant library, filled with books with no titles and all black covers, which will reveal all information, except for the information you seek?

I would like to visit Moonshadow, since Azura is my favorite Daedric Prince.
There's a reason why everyone becomes half-blind and everything smells of flowers upon entering her realm, Azura is nothing more than a glorified succubus.

Which is why his realm is so appealing. It's like tvtropes!

I want to see other realms of Oblivion, particularly Azura's (Moonshadow) and Vaermina's (Quagmire) realms.

You missed the poll option

Just for the record, you may want to edit your post. Swearing on these forums, even with asterisks, is actionable.

And da ghost forever in search of knowledge :D

And who said that the realms of Oblivion are only to daedric princes? Anyone heard of Soul Cairn? What about the Chimera of Desolation?
