Vista/Morrowind

Morrowind will not install on my computer. I have the hardware specs and speed. I can play Obv fine, just Morrowind will not even start. Someone told me that the game will not play on Vista, but I see by the posts that it can. Thanks for the help.

The game won't install or won't run?

Have you tried installing it as admin (right click on the setup.exe and run as admin)? That's the first thing that comes to mind with Vista... There's also a Vista/Win7 thread at the top of this forum, you may want to check that if you haven't already.

Are you sure the disc is ok, if it's not doing anything at all?

Okay this is similar to his problem but when i try to install it goes to like 70-80% complete but then it comes up with an error:

the error message says:
Component: Data Files
File Group: Data Files
File:D:\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

My operating system is Windows Vista 32-bit
I have tired to run as administrator and it didn't work.
So what can i do???

That usually means your CD is dirty or scratched. Gently clean it, or take it to a store that repairs damaged discs. (most video game stores do, and costs around $5)
