Vivec's name

I'm sure that the way the most people say it is probably right, and I'm confused about it, so here goes

"Veh VEHK" is how the characters who actually pronounce it out loud say it...if that's what you're asking?

Well now, filthy swits, this good man here is asking us how do we prefer to pronounce his name. I am in the habit of saying Vivec, but occasionally I will say Vehk.

Just the way I pronounce it in my head, which is the way I read it, "Vi-veck." Although when I first started playing TES games, I pronounced it, "Vee-veck."

I say it Vivec. I use to pronounce it 'Vi-veck' but now I say that and sometimes 'V'Vehk.'

In general I think it's safe to assume that unless stated otherwise, whatever pronunciation the voice actors use is correct, so I pronounce it as the voice actors do.

And yes, I always refer to him as Vivec, it's the name he is labeled with in-game, and Vehk only seems to show up in some in-game texts, the usual name NPCs use is Vivec, so I go with that.

I say Vivec. It seems to be what he calls himself, so who am I to say he's wrong?

Ditto. I figured it out playing on my friends file where he was Archcanon and the ordinators didn't hate him, so they said "praise Vivec!" out loud as their greeting.

Here, I say Vivec. That's what people call him in-Universe most of the time, right?

I usually use Vivec to refer to the city, and Vehk to refer to the character, helps me differentiate :)

Well me and my wife have had a lot of discussions of the Elder Scrolls lore. And I have a few friends IRL who enjoys it as well.
Not sure if that's a curse or a blessing thou, lol.

The pronunciation in Morrowind can often be confusing, but a brief outburst from an Ordinator and casual conversation in Chorrol reveal that the developers intended for Vivec's name to be pronounced as V'vehk (or vuh-VEHK). Which is how I've always pronounced the name.

Why not just call him I?

Bad jokes aside, I prefer saying Vivec for his more recent persona, and Vehk for his extensive historical role. Not sure what to call him post-Morrowind though...
