Voice Acting Suggestion

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:51 am

I think that devs should use Microsoft Sam with different (see random) voice filters instead of true humans. It is much cheaper and faster to implement as all dialogues wouldn't have to be recorded but computer generated instead. It would also add more variations to NPC voices, unlike Oblivion which was boring and dull.

What do you guys think?

I think you're trying to start a fight with the hundreds of "we'd love to see some better immersion in Skyrim" posters.

Yeah! As an added bonus, the NPC's can sometimes go "My ROFLcopter goes soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi"

More voices = good

More voices via Microsoft Sam = "Get the [censored] out of here!"

EDIT: Seriously, not just no but hell no!

Constructive responses for this topic would go a lot like - I do not believe Microsoft Sam would succeed in immersing players in a way that Bethesda, AND the players, would like.

I'd rather they use human voices at all costs. Not all the actors do boring and dull acting. I want them to hire the best voice actors money can buy.

I think it would be good enough for me. At least I won't have boring OB voices!

I vote for real voices, but they surely must hire more actors than Oblivion's.

Nope. You'll have NPCs that sound like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLxP3V4veJk.

Voted no because that would ruin the immersion more than having few actors. In my opinion at least.
