Brian Blessed as a dragon or a Grey beard, that is all.

Jim Cummings! :3

Mayhaps they can get Sean Bean again since he really is a fantastic fantasy actor. And Jon St. John!

Ok, ok are you ready for this?

SEAN CONNERY, just because every game could use a little Bond.

But seriously, I would like to see Felicia Day, ARE YOU LISTENING BETHESDA? CAST FELICIA DAY! And someone message her, tell her to upgrade from working a Bioware sideshow and get some voice-acting done.

I had to lol at Christopher Walken. That would be strangely epic. Especially as a dragon. Having a conversation with Wes Johnson as Sheogorath.

Sean Connery nearby as a burly drunken yet wise Nord, and Patric Stewart in a cameo as the ghost of Tiber Septim. All four playing quarters with a large frothy flask of mead using Tiber's lucky coin.

In all seriousness, I would be happy to see Wes and some of the long standing actors make a return for tradition's sake, and a little more diversity between the races with a handful of new actors.

Make my nimble Wood Elf sound a tad bit more youthful and feminine. (I thought the actress in Morrowind fit that role nicely). Diversity between races and genders please B)

I count 74 voice actors for Fallout New Vegas and there are some very big names and very talented people in the list. I think it would be great if we got this kind of cast for Skyrim. I prefer having great actors who emote as opposed to script readers. Something else that's important is the way the dialogue choices blend together when we choose them. I don't want them to jump from one emotion or tone or voice to another in the same conversation. That would be the directors and editors shared responsibility and they got that right in FNV. Since Obsidian developing can do it with Bethesda publishing FNV, Bethesda developing can get it right this time for Skyrim. More and more actors are doing voice work now so I don't think they'll have a problem getting good actors. :)

I think it would be great if they did not have any super star voice actors.

I think you can find unknowns that can perform very well.

Because I suspect he big names cost a HUGE amount of money, than can be best applied to other aspects of the game (like quests, lore, more details, more NPC, testing/bug fixes, etc)

Some stars are great, but if they are going to soak up lots of resources for just a few lines in the game, I think there is a better use of resources.

No famous voice actors. Just unkowns, like before mentioned. I would be happy with just 20 voice actors (one for each race and gender), but I'd think they'd have the budget for quite a bit more than that.

There needs to be MORE voice actors. And they need to be talented.

Other than those two things, I really don't care.

Willem Dafoe would be cool though.

I couldn't stand the female Nord voice in Oblivion, just because it was so un-nordic. Since Skyrim is pretty Nordic, I would appreciate if they actually used Norse themed voices. Scandinavian accents are pretty recognizable in English. Maybe Skyrim could do with some Russian accented voices too like Ekaterina Rednikova's.

Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, and William Shatner.

I second all of those, especially Sean Connery (as a dragon?).

I would also like to hear Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Jean Reno (Breton), Nathaniel Parker (Imperial), Andy Serkis, perhaps Ralph Fiennes, Russell Crowe,.. and Vin Diesel: just imagine an orc marauder charging at from a snowy mountain slope shouting "I live for this [censored]!".

Also I would love Charlie Sheen as the Gray Fox, Athony Hopkins in charge of the Dark Brotherhood and the "Governator" as the Fighter's Guild guildmaster.

All very excellent suggestions. Might I add Sophia Myles and Bronagh Gallagher from Tristan & Isolde for two excellent female voices. I love their Irish accents, and they'd fit excellently into a fantasy medieval game such as ES. :)

Oh, can we have Natascha McElhone then as well please?

[Hmm, a bit late in the day. Anyway...]

You didn't like Lynda Carter's voice acting? I know it was quite divisive but actually I quite liked the way that the Nords and Orcs deafened me in an entirely unsubtle manner! That level of shouting seemed to quite suit them. I can see the rationale behind a different accent, be it Scottish, Scandinavian or even Russian, but I didn't mind what we got in Oblivion in that regard: I think it worked well.

Keith David, James Earl Jones, Sean Connery/John Rhys-Davies (scottish), Jonathan Frakes, Thom Adcox-Hernandez, Jeff Bennett, Brendan Gleeson/Liam Neeson/Colin Farrell (irish).
Marina Sirtis, Laura San Giacomo, Cree Summer

All good voice actors/actors/actresses with good voices/accents.

I'd rather just have numerous unknown voice actors than a few celebrities, but hypothetically, I think these voices would fit the game well, regardless of whether or not hiring them would be practical :P:
  • David Warner
  • Alan Rickman
  • Michael C. Hall
  • Morgan Freeman
  • David Hayter
  • Michael Ironside
  • Ben Kingsley
  • Sean Connery
  • Alec Baldwin
  • Mark Hamill
  • James Earl Jones
  • Keith David
  • John Ratzenberger (c'mon, he's got to play at least one character!)
  • Hank Azaria
  • John Lithgow
  • Anthony Hopkins
  • Terry O'Quinn
  • Hugo Weaving
  • Ralph Fiennes
  • Liam Neeson

Of course, there are also some lesser known people I think would do a great job and most of these are already established voice actrors:

  • Jennifer Hale (Female Shephard in ME, Bastilla Shan in KOTOR, Ophelia in Brutal Legend)
  • Robin Atkin Downes (Alexei in Ninja Gaiden 2, TF2 medic, Prophet of Regret from Halo)
  • Michael Gough (the voice actor, not the old English actor; plays Osmund Saddler in RE4, Captain Price in the old Call of Duties)
  • Carolyn Seymour (Dr. Chakwas from ME, Gears of War locust queen, etc.)
  • Fred Ttasciore (Saren in Mass Effect, Baird in Gears of War, Zeratul and Rory Swan in StarCraft 2)
  • James Harper (Arcturus Mengsk in Starcraft)
  • Glynnis Talken Campbell (Kerrigan in Starcraft)

Also, I hate Lynda Carter's voice. Especially on Orcs. It doesn't fit warrior's at all; hell, her voice doesn't fit the entire atmosphere of the game if you ask me. Please get rid of her.

Wow, I spent WAAAAY too much time compiling this list.

I like Lynda Carter. Really.

But, yeah.... the orc voice was a bit....

And the bigger problem was that you had this distinctive voice, and it was on every single Orc & Nord female in the game.

That was the real problem.

I don't know about the main characters but the guy that does the Halo multilayer narration (double kill, game over, new round, etc.) would be awesome for the arena :D

I would love it if Stephen Fry could be involved as a voice actor in someway. Although he is very famous, especially in Britain, I wouldn't imagine that he would be the most expensive of voice actors.

His voice is a feast for one's ears.
