Voice Actors Needed

Hail BGS Forumites!

For those who don't know me, I am the author of the large upcoming Expansion http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1070806&st=0&start=0 for more information on the project in general, please feel free to visit my project site at http://darkrder.webs.com for pics, videos, and more. :)

This expansion offers a multifaceted quest line that expands the vanilla Blades faction and restores the fortress at Sancre Tor. Being quest based, there are a great number of characters needing voices. While many character parts have been cast, there are a few specific roles I am still seeking voice actors for. The people I'm looking for must have a functioning microphone capable of creating quality recordings and while acting experience is not required acting ability is. If you do not have experience using Audacity and making voice files for Oblivion that's okay we can teach you what you need to know!

The Characters

These characters are still needed and scripts are ready once actors are cast!

Character 01: Male, Imperial. We are looking for someone who can do a fairly decent impersonation of the vanilla male Imperial Voice; to voice new lines for an existing Oblivion character.

Character 02: Male, British/Scottish. Looking for a strong male lead, 25-50 years old, deep voice and with either a natural British or Scottish accent, or the ability to approximate one of those accents.

Character 03: Male, Asian Descent. Need a strong male lead, 25-50 years old, with a natural Asian accent, or someone who can respectfully approximate an Asian accent. Must be able to read English dialogue!

Character 04: Male, African American. Strong male lead, 25+ years old, with a deep even timbre to their voice. Ability to handle dramatic dialogue well is a plus!

Character 05: Male, Caucasian, Male lead, 14-17 years old. We need two blokes in this age range who can handle serious and lead roles.

If you are interested in auditioning for one of these roles, please send me a PM here, or on TESA to DarkRider and ask for a copy of the audition script. Once you read the audition script, you'll be cast if we can use you and will be given your scripts to start recording. Every voice actor brings RST closer to release!

As more of the quests are finished more roles will be made available, I will list them here for those who are interested! :)

Please do not refer me to the Voice Actors Project on TES Alliance, I'm a founding member of the guild and have utilized its resource wealth for many fantastic roles already. These are special folks I'm seeking now! :P

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here and thanks! :foodndrink:

Now why didnt i see this? Give me a crack at it.

http://www.4shared.com/file/190742552/befa609/obliviontryvoice.html (they're referencing Elsweyr, as im the one doing the voices for the Kingdom of Rimmen addon for Anequina)

Here's my sample, which is the same one i send out to the other mod teams . Id be glad to help out :-).

Always wanted to clean out that tomb and turn it into a safe shrine. Reman's buried there for flips sake.

Why dont you try posting at the voiceactingalliance forums? especially if your looking for females (although most of em are fandubbers).

Aw, you already got your British/Scottish person... I can kinda do Breton, but Imperial's a stretch... my voice isn't deep enough :(

I'm not African American, but I have a deep voice. Can I audition for the role?

If you ever need my voice, lemme know, you've heard my acting. Sadly, I fit none of these criteria.

Can you specify "Asian" a little more? That covers a huge range of accent and mannerisms, from Sinhalese to Uighur to Ainu (I can't do any of those, but how would you know?).

The voice is for a new race which was based on a collective of Asian influences from Japanese and Chinese to Hawaiian and Mongolian, as well as some tribal races. More dominant cultures in the mod would be a Japanese or Chinese, but again, accents vary by region. So, keep it simple, I'm looking for an Asian sound for an Asian based race, but no specific Asian race or dialect is required or preferred, I'm just trying to avoid the "white guy trying to sound Asian" effect which can easily come off as disrespectful.

I can do a decent imperial impersonation, but if you need any good 'character (with character)' voices, I'm your man. Give me a script, and I'll give you a character.
