Presumably because a lot of people do want it in their game and a lot of other people are on the fence.

Anyway I want the female protag to have the option to say "I will DESTROY you!" at least once.

So the most prominent roles of Mr. Delaney has had in the last few years have been in terrible movies? Good to know.

yeah, just a waste of money, like voice acting in general.

Jack from Mass Effect and someone who has done random background voices? :meh:

I think you will find more people are fine with it than against it. It's just that all the [censored]ing is limited to here and on reddit, even then it's a minority of people.

Mr. Delaney did a pretty good job from the little we've heard so far, if you ask me. He emotes more than manshep anyway.

Well, that's hardly an accomplishment.
Like saying "writing better than BGS" :teehee:

What? I thought that was a placeholder, someone from the studio, not the real actor.

True. Still, I'm willing to give him a shot before burning him at the stake for lack of past accomplishment.

Yes, i suppose. Everyone has to start to from somewhere

Still, not hiring any big names, maybe BGS themselves aren't too sure about PC voice acting? This is a test to see how it is received?

I wasn't impressed by his performance in the slightest. If/when I get the game, I'll give him 2 hours of playing to make me think he's worth putting up with. Otherwise, it's going to be female characters from then on with the exception of my Mr. Freeze play through.

I'd have liked Laura Bailey or Tara Strong for the female voice. Both are very talented people I enjoy listening to.

they might be fine with it now , till they want to replay the game with a different type of character and find out that voice just do not fit what they are trying to play

or when they replay the game for the 4 th or 5 th time and they are so sick and tired of hearing that same voice again and again

i am sure we going to have this devate again 6 months after the release when people got sick and tired of those voices

like i said no disrespect to the actors they just doing what they are good at , this is just for me a bad gamedesign descision on the part of bethesda

Ugh. Laura Bailey was the worst part about Serana in the Dawnguard DLC.

She has never done a game where she had any voice other then "completely unemotional about everything"

I have no problems with replayability with Dragon Age, Mass Effect, the Witcher or any other game with a voiced Prota... and if I have the voice is not the reason.

Courtney Taylor's most prominent voice role in Fallout was Gloria Van Graff in New Vegas.

Edit: for spelling

I liked her in that, but part of it might be because it reminded me of Lust from Full Metal Alchemist's anime series.

She has a lot more range in anime than she does in a lot of video games where it seems voice directors want her to go with the voice you're complaining about, but I liked her a lot as Lucina in Fire Emblem Awakening (pretty limited dialogue but still), all of her roles in New Vegas (particularly her monologue as Vera Keyes), and I was surprised to find out that she was Serah in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, so she does have some range when she gets the chance.

Ehhh, I honestly felt Vera Keyes/Christine had the same problems as Serana. For someone who got their throat cut cut and replaced, she doesn't seem to have any emotion at all when she regains her voice.

Lol. I go back and forth depending on the show. Some shows seem to have a better English cast than the Japanese ones, other English casts are the things I will never subject my ears to again in less they try to rebel against me. I was bowled over when I heard what the cast of DBZ sounds like in Japanese.

As for Christine, it seemed to me that most of the observable emotions in her got beaten out of her in the BoS/CoS, which is why she's so cold in her dialogue even after becoming pretty warm in her sign language if you become her friend.

Ok, that is like the one acceptable exception.

Never heard of the dude before but having Courtney Taylor voice the Female Protag might make me play as her in my first run.

So long as it isn't Troy Baker again, I don't care who they cast.

I think they both sound great. The guy must have auditioned well to get the part. Bethesda will be expecting at least 20 million sales. The voice will play a big part in deciding that.
