Voice actors that you think should be in FO4

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:50 am

Here are my Picks:

Males:
James Earl Jones: Come on bring Darth Vader to the Wasteland.
Anthony Hopkins: Come on bring Colonel John Frost to the Wasteland (come on you thought I was going to mention another role :-))
GroovyBruce.. which is his twitterhandle: Bruce Campbell: Ash from the evil dead series.. The man who was destined to play Benny :-/
Sam Rockwell, the man with the crazy scheme..
Vin Diesel: Yes I know the guy is usually known for his action parts.. but the guy did start out as a legit actor... and his grating voice would fit FO well.
Chris Rock: In his stand up anger mode.. (FO needs more biting sarcasm from its NPC's in its current run)
Females:
Ellen Page: Underestimated talent.. can play anything, but (me thinks) thanks to her her agent she is (still) typecast as the rebel teenager (she's 22 btw).. Could work well as a companion.
Controversial: Merryl Streep: She is so versatile but never (to my knowledge) did any CG work.. would be interesting.
Zooey Deschanel: Hippy, crazy... peppy.... she can voic act it.
Tricia Helfer: Overused yes.. but she.. I don't know has this je ne sais quoi which make her perfect to play an AI..
Gillian Anderson: Come on who doesn't want Dana Scully in the Wasteland..
Jenniffer Tilly: ..... that..... voice.... (not being positive here... but if would fit a FO character well)

I think it would be funny if hey had dan cortese doing a commercial on a wasteland radio station for a steakhouse.
unless I am mistaken, that seems to be the only type gig he can get.

Kevin Durand should be in there as either a wisecracking BOS, or a nefarious type that perhaps gets mutated during the events of the game.

if they put some kind of crazy chick in, the Kristen Schaal should get a role, too.
I dunno what it is, but that girl makes me feel funny.

I'd love to see Clint Eastwood do the voice of an old, but bad-ass companion.
I could also see Alan Rickman be brought on as the head of the (as portrayed in-game) evil faction, or at least the leaders right-hand man.

Exactly what I was thinking when I opened this thread.

Are we supposed to be serious?

Ok then, that guy that playid Hitler in Der Untergang, as a Enclave officer (except he is yelling [censored] in English)

Arnold schwisenniger or whatever he′s name is. He could play... WAIT FOR IT... WAITTTTTTTTTTTT FORRRR ITTTTTT. PRESIDENT OF NCR. Makes sense no?

And the Ulfrich stormcloack voice actor. Be nice to hear someone u love and respect. (also hes voice is AWEZOME)

The dude that playid the mayor of Shady Sands in fallout 1 (if he is still alive, the voice actor i mean)

Pay attention, none of these things were serious (beside Arnold)

Morgan freeman do the opening and closing narrations with Ron Perlman. Liam Neeson shall voice the NPCs Finally Sean Connery will voice all the villains. Oh and Stephen Fry will personally sing the tutorial to you and voice all the companions.

BOOM eargasmic Fallout!

That would be an amazing game. As for me, anyone who isn't Yuri Lowenthal is okay by me.

What about Joanna Lumley?

Anyway, as mentioned before, they could always do what Futurama do and use about five voice actors for a wide cast (some already mentioned like Billy West, Tress McNeille etc) and not what they did with Oblivion and had five voice actors who voiced five voices.

Michael McDonell. Till his last breath. I think thats his name who voiced John Henry Eden in Fallout 3. Michael for Prez voicing. He always makes such a great political like actor and leader and voices them very excellently.

-Sean Bean would also be my first choice.
-Bruce Willis and/or Carl Urban for the "Tough Guy" role. Hugo Weaving as the "Dark" or "Slimy" roles.
-Ewan Mcgregor for the male playable character and Jen Taylor for the female.

On Topic:
Ian Mckellen
and Michael Fassbender

Both would be great... either as authority figures or as one-off NPC's

Ian Mckellen came to mind for me as well but I'm sure they could do better and Fassbender has shown nothing but great potential in his roles but he just wouldn't cut it as a voice actor.

McKellen has been typecast too often (not making assumptions but people often see him as either Magneto or as Gandalf).. But all and all he is one of the best actors of our time (theater as well) and has a distinctive enough voice to be iconic in a Videogame as a voiceactor.
Fassbender showing nothing but potential.... Did you see Shame...? or (more mainstream) his turn as magneto in X-men: First Class...It was an absolute disgrace that he didn't get an oscar nomination for that first movie.. and his turn as Magneto was also brilliant (making him more real than McKellen did Imho)
I do agree.. though, we don't know if would cut is as a voiceactor...and maybe his voice is to indistinct.

Hard to visualize a character portrayed by Ian Mckellen surviving in a post-apocalypse. He would have been an ideal yet cliche' choice for Skyrim but that chance has passed.

Decent voice actors who get a decent reasonable wage.

So the team doesn't waste so much money on celebrity voice acting.

Ron Perlman narrates, only exception.

I still stand with my original list. Sean Bean isn't too expensive and besides, Bethesda and Obsidian don't seem to care how much their actors cost. Ex: Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, Chris Plummer (and more)...

My list:
-Sean Bean would also be my first choice.
-Bruce Willis and/or Carl Urban for the "Tough Guy" role. Hugo Weaving as the "Dark" or "Slimy" roles.
-Ewan Mcgregor for the male playable character and Jen Taylor for the female.

Though I do admit Mcgregor is probably too well known for just the playable character.

I'm a person who wants to get to know the character, not the actor.

I'm against this because sometimes we only see/hear the actors, and not the character their trying to portray. And it takes away from that.

And if I can find someone who can do just a good a job or better and get paid less even though their not Hollywood branded I will take it.

Doesn't work that way in acting... Simple as that. Its like asking for a Corvette with the price of used outdated station wagon. Not as much pay equals weaker results. Simple economics as well as human behavior.
