Will there be in-game voice for console ESO , or will player have to use party chats on their system ?

No idea how anything will work at this point on consoles as they are totally focused on the PC version at the moment. I imagine we won't hear much at all until after PC launch.

Voice communications are kinda important for PvP but that can be difficult with external softwares and random groupings in PvP settings. It would be good if there were some voice communication built in to the game for groups/raids/proximity, so even if people don't have a mic they can still hear what is going on and don't need to log in to some external softwares, with security flaws, for voice communications.

Don't think anyone will be able to say before they release the PC ver of the game. However I think it would be a smart idea for them to integrate the part chats with an in game VOIP... But no info at all about that so far

For us PC gamers, yes. But if you are a console player that wont be a problem as you will hear anyone that want to talk to you through there party chats anyway.

Seems to me that would be a complete waist of the programmers time and resources. Console's already have voice why add it in game as well. At most they should have an in game option to control what chat room you are in but even that is pretty lame due to the way the new consoles can multi task these days.

Why in the world would putting VOIP in this game be a good idea? It would be easier to deal with a 3rd party than in game, and if it was an open world voice chat, I'd probably hang myself before going into PVP and hearing all the trolls and complainers screaming over their mics.

My point in making this thread was because i will be playing this game on PS4 and the party chat can only hold up to 8 people max, was hoping that maybe there would be a in-game voice chat for console versions.

Another reason not to buy a PS4. Can you get a Ventrilo or equivalent to work through the PS4? If not I hope all the console gamers have PC's close to their consoles so they can use chat At this point I haven't seen voice in the PC version (I could have easily missed it) which makes me believe they will not be adding it any were but that is pure uneducated speculation.
