There also seem to be some islander and/or South American accents. I've never had much an ear for such things.

So far, I've heard Cockney, Jamaican/Carribean, Eastern European/Russian, Aussie and Latino. There is also definitely one entitled British, but that might just be Cockney. I'd be suprised if there wasn't a middle eastern, south african, and south-east aisan/Japanese accent choice, also.

I cant imagine Splash Damage, a British company, would put in Cockney and not proper British.

You mean one without the other? I donno. Proper upper-class Oxford English doesn't really suit the environment.

Sure it does, the Ark was originally a 5-star environmental resort. Besides, there are far more people that have a typical British accent than the cockney slang. It would be like if they put in American slang without including a more traditional American accent.

Voice pack with inscription made from diamonds reading "Old Spice man, I'm on a Horse"

Also incredibly British accent to the point of the intolerable (I already dislike British accents but how else am I going to make a stuck up hatted Gentlemenne?)

Yea, I am looking forward to making a Heavy Soldier with the AGL nade-launcher, who's a black Scotsman with only one eye.

"Prancin aboot with yer heads full of eyeballs!"

I'm thinking they should add celebrity voice packs in DLC, what do you guys think? Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc... :frog:

Even better, everyone is forced to use the pirate voice pack on sept 19, then make it optional to those who got it that day.

Hmm I wonder what Irish accent they'd go with.. Northern or one of the Southern ones.. Or they could always go with the stereotypical top-o-the-mornin'

Stereotype for voice packs would probably be best.

Aye laddie, tis be a fine accent.

but seriously, with the wide variety of nationalities they have on the dev team, I imagine most of the accents are going to be real as opposed to stereotypical.

I'd like a Paul Hogan style Aussie accent to go with my Akubra. Also, stereotypical British accent, and I'd love to have my own pet Demoman.

In fact, I'd like to see someone recreate all the TF2 characters, or at least the Heavy, Medic, Scout, Demoman and Sniper.

Heavy, demoman, and sniper would be easy; medic might be passable; but because lights cant use shotguns, scout will be a bit difficult to recreate. Without his shotgun and baseball bat, scout is just an overconfident skinny guy from NYC.
