voices/ dialog

So they say that npc's (non quest givers) will not have a dialog menu. at first to me it sounded like downplaying dialog in general but it occured to me that the devs might be trying to find away to apply the ways they covered dialog in morrowind. (yeah every npc in morrowind had a menu for dialog) but the way it was set up then was that npc's topics were based on what faction and region they were in (among other factors that narrowed the dialog to even fewer npcs) but the introduction of actual voice to the npc's pretty much made it harder to do it the same way. So I am thinking that they are getting rid of the OB dialog for a system that would allow them to more easily assign dialog and as a result making it possible for npcs to say more.

so, maybe we'll see npcs who say more, but just not in a direct menu.

I just see it that there will be many different voices for NPCs and not just a dozen voice actors repeated everywhere in the world.

As long as there is no jarring difference between useless NPCs and quest-givers (like Fable), I'll be happy.

Please add your thoughts to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1163203-you-can-only-directly-talk-to-quest-givers/ that's active on the first page. :)
