Voices in Skyrim

Post » Thu Sep 22, 2011 9:07 pm

I remember in Oblivion where only a few races/genders had a unique voice. Like how Imperial males sound American, Breton males sound British/French, and Redguards sound Black.

Now, I wonder how the new voices would be like. Nords now sound like Irishmen, and I think Imperials sound more American. I wish Bretons sound more French too, because that's the only way you could distinguish an Imperial and a Breton.

Well met. We have over 70 voice actors, so expect diversity of tones. :P

As long as you could easily distinguish between Imperial and Breton voices for BOTH genders, that's fine with me.

Seems like Imperials would sound more English than American.

Bretons were there first. Imperials weren't added until TES 3.

The Bretons and Imperials definitely are too similar visually, dunno why they didn't go with an asian look for a race. I'm really interested in seeing how they use these "70 voice actors" but I try to not have my hopes up. Last thing I want to find out is its 10 for each language. :sadvaultboy:

Oblivion had 11-12 voice actors and 3 of them were for one character... so for 1000+ characters there were 8-9 voice actors  NOW We have 70 voice actors! :ahhh:

Redguards sound black.

*Laughs* Kudos for the redguard voice actors for being the first people ever to sound like a color.^_^
