Voices

So do you think the Dunmer will get their rightful voice back? Not just Dunmer either they need to bring back the unique voice styles instead of recycling one voice actor for all of them.

I'm the odd one out here, I have always been quite satisfied with the voice acting in TES games.

Well I certainly hope that the Dunmer sound more like they did in Morrowind.

However, I do not want each race to have only two voices. (Male and female)

I want it so almost everybody has a unique voice, a la Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

Didn't the Dunmer travel to Solstheim after
Spoiler
Morrowind was destroyed?
That could mean that a large portion of them also traveled to Skyrim. Of course, I could be completely wrong. Anyway, assuming the game takes place after the books wouldn't they have their regular, gritty voices back since they just came from Morrowind?

Maybe not everyone have a own voice. That would become pricey. But at least a huge pool to select from. The whole 2 actors for each race was horrible. Drove me crazy. I honestly wished that they didnt talk. That dialogue was just read like in Morrowind. It was that bad to me.

I hope each race has it's own very unique voice. I ended up getting sick of talking to an Altmer, then talking to a Dunmer next to him and them having exactly the same voice. The voice system seemed rushed and did really ruin some aspects of the game for me.

Not only the voices but as a massive Dunmer nerd, they really really need to bring back the extra long Dunmer Ears and pure red eyes that they took out in Oblivion. The way I see it is they Humanized all of the races for OB.

That was probably the most disappointing aspect of Oblivion for me. I was really shocked, especially since the video highlighting Radiant AI used the Dunmer voice.

I would like to see a wider variety of vocal talent appear in TES:V. Even if they used a method similar to how fallout 3 was and had not every NPC interactable and talkative would be better than the way Oblivion turned out.

I'm hoping for a voice-cast of at least 30 persons.

(including unique ones for your own character)

The voices never bothered me. It would be better to have a different actor for each race, instead of doubling up on a few.
It's helpful hearing your enemy speak and knowing he's a Breton, so you can plan against his abilities.

Facial features to, IMHO they just made a blueish grey human.

I am personally very happy with the voice acting in Oblivion. I don't see what the problem is.

There were less than 1 unique actor per race in Oblivion, not counting some of the few special characters. Orc and Nord, Khajiit and Argonian had all same voices for male and female characters, plus female Imperial and Breton. If i remember correctly, that is. It didn't seem that horrible to me, if they polish facial expressions a bit and have like 5 unique voices per race, it would be a huge improvement.

Im not being funny do they even need to hire everyone if everyone of there employees had ago at a voice in a different accent! would work!

I could think of a few fans who would happily voice a character for free!

Money isnt the issue because they will sell millions unique character voices shouldnt be hard!

In the demo, Dunmer had there deep, croaky voices. Then the game was released and it wasn't there. Was there a point or was it laziness? :brokencomputer:

Dunmer starts speaking at about 48 seconds in. Though it doesn't quite sound like the Morrowind Dunmer...More like someone trying to do an impression of the Morrowind Dunmer.
