A Volcano

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:24 am

Hi, I recently found a topic on natural disasters. I wouldn't mind them.

A volcano, sounds good. Bethseda has much more important things on their hands then a volcano. But if they had the chance, would you like one? Where?

Not much on the description but vote anyway.

Thanks.

Oh I dunno, perhaps one in the "Volcanic Tundra" section in Skyrim.

That would make one AWESOME dungeon.

I'm pretty sure Alduin is coming out of a volcano anyway. Where else is he coming from?

Implementing an erupting volcano is virtually impossible... in real time anyway.

Volcanoes have already been done, in Morrowind. I don't want one back, and since there's no option in the poll for 0 volcanoes, I didn't vote.

That said, I'll throw out the idea of a dormant snowcapped volcano with geothermal energy - hot springs might be interesting locations.

Just think of the Megaton explosion in FO3.

There should be a huge Dwemer dungeon inside it. Also, a supervillain building a doomsday device...

I think having a volcano is equally important. I think it's hela needed. It would provide so much for me by enriching the landscape and making it really appealing.

Why do we need volcanoes?

Skyrim would be like the Alps or the mountains of Norway, and they weren't volcanic in nature.

It was Morrowind's thing that the entire province is built around a volcano...

Nope. It's quite volcanic, actually. Just like Morrowind.

Although that could just be aresult of the volcanic ash (pretty sure volcanic tundra is just tundra (land where trees don't grow well) caused by ash and toxins from volcanicactivity) from Red Mountain, which is georgaphically close, but who knows.
