Volikihar Clan

Been playing for over a week and trying to enjoy the game without ruining it. I am a serious roleplayer, somehow i manage to became a full blooded vampire and located Volikihar Fortress and would like to join their clan or vampire faction. So i came across Dimhollow Crypt and Caverns, but cant get the quest to unlock to rescue Serana. On Wikipedia the quest "Awakening" mention i need to travel to Fort Dawnguard to speak to Isran, so it would be stupid for me to travel there in my vampire form and i would kill them even if i did.

So is there a way around this, or did i need to use the console to add command by giving myself the quest (Awakening) instead of traveling to Fort Dawnguard? I wanted to find this naturally without cheating. Was hoping there would be a object or quest unlock once i discover something else, instead of traveling to Fort Dawnguard, what a stupid idea ever for vampire players.

Btw i already use the console to reduce the timeframe, time was going by too fast. So i set it to 3 to feel about right. One more thing, if i join the Vampire Clan (Volikihar) do i have to be the Vampire Lord? I heard that you cannot wear armor or use bow while at Vampire Lord, if that is true then i need to bypass that. So i dont want to become a VamLord to just join the their clan. Hope there is options to not to become a VLord.

Would be boring for me to play alone, so that why i decided to join their clan. I dont get involve with the locals at all. I am simply roaming around at night and living off the lands.

If you join the vampires clan then you will have to become a vampire lord but you don't ever have to use your vampire lord form.

What level is your character? At level 10 the Dawnguard DLC kicks in and you can start the questline and pick a side. I did this before with a character who was a regular vampire without having any issues.

I am not sure how you want to start the quest, but you can speak to Isran as a vampire, get the quest to find what the vampires are looking for, and if you desire, you can also play on the Dawnguard side until up to recruiting. Then you have to cure yourself, get the quest for the priest, and then you can become a vampire again, or have Serena convert you. There is a mod that allows you to play as a Dawnguard while being a vampire, but you have to wait until AFTER you get the moth priest quest before activating it or you will not get the quest.

If you choose to play as a vampire, on the vampire side, you still have to speak to Isran to start the Awakening quest, even if you are a vampire, you can do this. What ever armor you have on, and what ever perks you have on your armor, carries with you when n vampire lord form. Unlike the werewolf form, when you revert back to human form, you still have your armor on. As stated above, you do not have to transform to the vampire lord form if you do not wish to do so.

I like to play a vampire simply for the predator vision mod. I do not like the vampire side, and play on the Dawnguard side as a vampire. Hope that all made sense.

Good then i can bypass that Vlord tranformation and still join the clan. She is lvl 32 right now and she doesnt like locals, as i roleplay her as a villian. Still dont like the ideas traveling to Fort Dawn and look for Isran, if i did, i would have i kill him. Just that simply.

Anyway i am going to use the cosole and add the quest "Awakening" to bypass Fort Dawnguard.
