I joined a game.. and about 5 secounds playing.. ( thats only pressing on W) i was kicked from the server and after trying to join the game again it says.. you have been baned to this server.. what is happening ? :S

people think you are cheating, because they cannot recognise the real cheaters and you get f***ed.
This is a rubbish idea, and I do think mostly the serious, noncheating players will be afflicted by it.

Not a bad idea, if they introduce complete game banning thats your ticket back in.
But then what, you have to play crap just not to get banned?

Main problem is that people can use just one hack to see people on map through walls etc. and that enough to get uber advantage over other players. Basically you are aware of other players location, but even with this advantage you still can get owned, so people still keep some death ratio and it doesn't look like they do something wrong. What sux is that you can't prove that they do it, unless game detect 3th party program or injection and auto-ban player no one will be sure that other players is cheating. Same goes for energy hack, i see tons of people every day with abnormal defense while they have low lvl armor, but you can't prove it, and even if you start voting other players won't vote because they aren't sure about that players.

Out of 4 votes I've encountered (and two I ran myself) not a single one had enough votes to proceed on maps where it was 8 vs. 8. Gui is badly needed.

Did you update game to v1.4? Maybe your search filters have wrong settings and they roll out all servers in search o.O

Im concerned that the majority of players wont know how to use this feature and thus it will be useless. A lot of people have trouble comprehending a simple F1-F2 vote kick system.
I wouldn't exactly go that far in judging people's comprehension. That's not the problem. The problem is the feature isn't straightforward or obvious at all and is currently buried deep within the command console.



I'd go that far... L4D2 people are very very bad for not voting. I own the game and its great, but 80% of the people that play it are idiots.

Very common example:
A guy on your team will be AFK. So instead of kicking him, they may wait around a bit to see if he comes back to life, but often, knowing or not even checking, they will leave the safehouse without him, but if he gets attacked, they will travel great distance to save him, only to run off on him again but guess what?... he's still AFK.

Yesterday we had a problem with user: Re@nimator who was running like crazy with perma cloak and killed everybody.
I typed in the console: votekick re@nimator

And I saw no reaction from the gamers or even no info that the voting has been started and this **** played there as long as he wanted.

I signed the online pledge/petition linked from escapists website to ONLY buy a legitimate copy of this game, AND bought it the morning of release day I know my self pity is probably dangerously palpable right now, but I feel like I got **** here. I LOVE what this game has the potential to be....and to me its all about the multiplayer experience (Havent even finished the campaign, grew bored with it because the AI is too stupid/no challenge to me, even on post-human) but it is coming up short. Votekick system NEEDS a UI buff, even if only minor key macros. Not a single vote that I have initiated and painstakingly explained to the population of a server has passed, and it is incredibly disheartening |[BO0MIJUSTSH0TYOU]| and several other VERY WELL KNOWN hackers are having a **** troll-down while we all rage at being so helpless to stop them.

- Call up console (if you don't know what this is as a PC gamer then you are very new) Default is the tilde key, which looks like an apostrophe ( ` ) which is situated on the upper far left of the keyboard, usually
- type 'vote '
- to vote for the motion, any player just types 'vote' in the console
- to not vote, you do nothing...

Although a graphical overhaul will improve this little feature...

You might have to set up that key to open the console. Not at home at the moment, so can't say how exactly, but I'm sure there may be someone here to help

Ok, there is a difference to people knowing how to operate their own PC and Crytek knowing how to build an entire game. Think about it, Crytek who have extensive knowledge in programming and have a portfolio of games (i.e Far Cry and Crysis) have built this fantastic game to the best of their ability on all three popular platforms today, now comments like 'Crytek have frauded us' really makes the ignorance shine through and just because some people can't operate their own pc does not mean that Crytek has failed.

I'd love to see some people just go and try to make a game of this grade on PC and expect it to be bug free.... in the 21st century we all need more patience.

If I as a amateur gamer need more patience then something here is very very wrong.

There is one truth that all of you like nanaki_red should know: IF SOMEONE IS DISTRIBUTING GAME - IT SHOULD BE 99% FREE OF BUGS! Its 21 century and developers dont know how to create game without bugs? You can process development in many ways, there are even more tools available to project managers and still we get product with huge amount of bugs.

Give me a list of ten triple A titles that came out bug free and I'll say I was wrong

No system is ever going to be bug free and considering every PC is different to one another it's a big ask to expect 99% bug free game on release :p

I'm more patient than others it seems, I bought this game from day one and even though it had some teething problems, I didn't feel the need to rant about it forever certainly mention the problems to the developers what is wrong and also read up on what is already known on forums such as this one. I do expect something to happen soon, but I never expect a personal reply or an immediate action.

You already have such reports from the developers about updates all the time on this very forum anyhow.

Sick of bads trying to kick me already. It's getting to the point where nearly every game I'm in someone is screaming hacker and initiating a kick. Apparently they think when I catch them in cloak with Nanovision I'm hacking. This game is hard.

the game has a lot of problems but it is still pretty good. don't over exagerate... unless of course you really don't like it

Crytek, please make some UI for this votekick feature. A lot of people don't have the mental capacity to type a four letter word in the console let alone actually read whats going in the chat box. Hackers are just laughing at our efforts to try and kick them and by the time we people actually start voting, the round is close to ending.

C: YEA! YEA!
A: Ok... Votekick initiated.
B & C: OK. ... ... ... ... ... ... How to vote?
A: *facepalm* Press ~ and type "vote".

Problem statement: Vote kick unsuccessful on cheaters.

Hypothesis:
1. The message is not clear! Somebody can't see or completely didn't realize that a vote kick has been initiated.
2. Not every people are experience with console. They are only experienced with console (the gaming console that made for guy who don't know/want keyboard & mouse).
3. Some people don't even know vote kick cheater is possible!

Instrument: Crytek and a bunch of computer.

Procedure:
1. Make a simple user-friendly GUI for user. (To votekick: Hold Tab > Click on > Vote kick.) (To vote: Hold Tab > Click "Vote")
2. Release patch.
3. Wait for good news (Or bad news if the GUI is terrible.)

Conclusion: None. No action taken yet!
