type: votekick "nameplayer" to start a kickvote(dont include clan tags and i dont know if it works with partial names)
in console type: "vote 1" for yes
or type NOTHING AT ALL for a no vote(dont vote at all lol)

Good luck explaing it to the casuals: people who don't understand anything about pc/programming/coding etcetc. I just had an hacker with auto aim on( Note: impressive work with the anti-hacks, i'd love to see your code that try to stop them from auto aiming, having infinity energy, no reloading time and so on. Took them what 2-3 hours to bypass everything you did in these 2-3 weeks?). I thought, np finally we will **** them and kick the **** out of them. I was wrong.

It took me 5 mins to take his name down, since it had the char "|"(try to use that char while you are in the console...) in his name( Congratulation again to not forbid/instant ban usernames with stupid chars in it) and 5-10 mins to explain to the players in the server what to do(how to vote for example, which resulted in MAXIMUM FAILURE, most of them were just doing the following "y \1" or "y \\1vote" and other retarded things like that).

Isn't that what the tab completion is for? For people that have weird characters all you gotta do is at least get the first few characters right and than hit tab. It will auto fill in the rest of the characters and than you simply hit enter. That's the beauty of tab completion. Any coder knows this. Also the "pipe symbol" (|) should work correctly in the console I would imagine. If not again use tab completion. Also yes that symbol is called the Pipe symbol. Again it's one of the beauties of knowing code.

But I do admit telling a noob how to use the console is like explaining how to design in C++. They are gonna be completely bloody lost.

The easiest thing to do would be to create a GUI for this feature. Hell you could totally rip off CSS and all those types of games and have a simple vote system like that.

Voting system is so horrible. How to vote knows only 2-3 people from 16. Every time i had to explain how to do this. Thousands of players who have a localized version of the game can't vote, because the language layout does not switch in game(in russian version).

The voting system is only a bit better than that in crysis 1.

The vote announcement is a message that disappears too fast. It should be sticky and at least pressing 'esc' there should be some menu option to cast a vote.

But voting while in game would be also great.

Also it would be good to avoid one person to do many votes at once or I fear cheaters building up a function to cast voting against other players to block the vote system.

It seems that this voting problem should be much more intuitive. There should be a menu option under esc for vote kick a player, and a menu option once that has begun for other players to also press esc and vote to kick. Using these current commands for kicking is not something people will be doing. Also as someone mentioned a player shouldn't be allowed to constantly vote everyone else out and in turn a player voting someone out should not face immediate reprisal from that person (possibly another cooldown for the "voted" player). I'd say its ok for people to vote kick elite players if they are "noobs", if they think you are hacking (and you aren't) you are obviously in the wrong game. Go play on a game with more skilled players. I'd consider this last part more of the developer's problem; I'd like to see an average rank score for servers or a "match up" button to place you in a server with players that are more on par with you (it could probably correspond to your rank, or even better to your kill/death ratio). The inspiration for this could obviously be tied to Starcraft II's 1v1 matchup. Again although this seems to be the developer's fault, they are probably busy working on more pressing issues such as graphics bugs, faulty server bugs, and general error/connection issues.

I do wonder if that permanent ban is actually a serial code ban or account ban though. It would be kind of useless as a simple account ban...

Back on topic though, I do think votekicking needs to be a bit more intuitive. It's that or at least make people more aware of it. It's definitely helpful against hackers (although apparently some have found a workaround or two?) but making sure people know how to use it has been a bit of a hassle.

Yes, It would be nice if they do GUI for the vote kick and kicking would be made by kick user_id instead of username.

Does someone notice that there is actually "autoranking" ? nearly 15 world ranks reached every 10 minutes ?

for long nicknames, just type: "votekick **1st LETTER of CHEATER** +TAB"

Right ive just come off another server for the second time two nights running where the same idiot has been blatantly hacking,do you guys really not care about us?This guy is top ranked in the overall leaderboards for quite some time he literally go's from server to server everynight singlehandedly destoys everyones enjoyment of the game they have paid for!The best you can offer is some weak ass console commands!Affirmative action needs to be taken and taken now,server admins should have the power to report these assholes and permaban not only their acc's but keys and ip addresses.The level of proffesionalism and duty of care to your customers at this moment in time is quite frankly embarassing.PLEASE SHOW US THAT YOU ACTUALLY GIVE A ****!

It doesn't work when the Cheaters's name has got special letter's like (=Teh-Smk=1)or similar. I had this problem this morning with this guy. The server tells me this is a unkown command.

different player caught XP boosting on relay game. they were even able to kick me out of the game.. cheaters taking advantage of the loopholes to gain xp easily.

It's a damn cheater.
Why don't the simply ban them. So they can play only single players if they must cheat.

Anyway Votekick must be improved with a Graphical HUD cause people will not open the console to vrite to kick somebody...this because many don't want to get killed by writing.

Ideas:
So this is what should be: The Promoter of the Votekick should press F1( if no votation is active ) this will bring a list selector for the player to kick then "Left Mouse Button click" or "Return" to start the votekick, this will also automatically add a vote from the Promoter to kick the player.
The other players will see a "Press F1 to votekick player XXX" same style as Invites sent to players while in game.

This is important also:
Many Cheaters are using particular letter combination to make votekick useless.
Also many use too long names as Smx for example that will take a lot to write in console, so votekick graphical HUD is a must to solve all these problems.

VOTE KICK doesnt work!!!

There is only a little info in the left upper corner that the voting has begin.
People are constantly asking "how to vote" ? I was chating 20 minutes about how to open console and how to vote.

There were two **** that were constantly in cloak mode and were shooting at us - crash site mode - so no fun!
Scared1_987 and one more **** but I dont remember hes full nickname - something like Arnak1987

We really do need the GUI for voting and a small video clip which will show everybody how to vote!
