The character I was envisioning suited the Nord race well.

How did they ruin Bretons?

They have shock resistance instead of magic one, they don't have increased magicka and their Dragonskin doesn't provide physical defense anymore.

Now they have crappy lighting resistance and Dragonsking absorbs spells. >_>

Why did they have to mess with something which was perfectly fine!?

I am black and have out three and a half years into playing a redgaurd so im pretty much done playing one...I am a leo and the khajiit is vey appealing to me so i started it in obilivion but never finished so im gonna do it on skyrium... But what type of perk is claww attack??? Like every other race sounds legit and then you get to kahjiit and it's like ohh.. claw attack... One of the things that made me die laughing is how the racial perk for redgaurds correspond to the real life stereotype that black people are more athletic!!!!

if they are going for stereotype then shouldnt redguards get bonus' for eating melons and cooked chicken and have bonus' in security and sneak?

just sayin....

edit to stay OT: im gonna choose Orc for my first playthrough... in oblivion i wouldnt have played an Orc if you payed me, but the new model for it looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! i think its mainly the colour + the fact it doesnt look so cartoony (with the obligatory flat face from the frying pan)

Our speechcraft and mercantile skills would be real low too because people can't understand half the things we say, with our slang, and jargon and whatnot.

I find Claw Attack would be a Pretty dang unique Perk. of course in Oblivion it would, all the Race Special attributes were more like Spells and/or just Permanent Attributes, but this would actually be a Physical thing No one else could have even as a Spell.
i will find it fun Scratching people in the Face if they start calling me a Mangy House Cat.

1st: Nord, Warrior. Roleplay Obv.
2nd: Dunmer, Assassin/Hunter. Slaughter every Argonian in my path. :)
3rd: Breton, Battlemage.
4th: Modded Character, Probably use a Daedra Character Model if I can find one.

ive decided to start as a native nord. this will be my "do everything" save. after that ill do the others who will all specialize in certain things and only do quests for one or two factions, starting with an argonian assassin.

I have been bouncing between Breton and Altmer. I have tended to play Breton in previous games because in addition to being better looking a Breton+Apprentice was the best mage you could get (not counting the Altmer+Atronach but that is a completely different kind of play style.) With the removal of many of those factors, and the less fugly looking Altmer I was thinking of going Highelf Mage for my first character. I might instead play a Breton Nightblade as a second character. =D

argonian sure they no longer are immune to poison (probably due to the cold) but now they heal quickly so its a good tradeoff and of course there disease resistance and water breathing are nice and they look awesome in skyrim.

I always start out as a warrior, and I always make my character look like me and since I am black, I will be choosing Redguard.

Same...for the warrior part that is, Imperial (and NO not in it for the gold)!

Wait, wait, wait... wait. Bretons better have an increased mana pool... And only resistant to shock? That's kind of lame but I'm more worried about the mana pool...

Nord! And as a ranger-esque nord, I will slowly wipe out every single Orc in my nation in order to prove that Nords are the best warriors in Tamriel. Then I'll make an Argonian assassin who will wipe out the dunmer, and a wood elf thief that will be, for all intensive purposes, interested in only becoming rich and awesome.

Maybe the Bretons always absorb spells? Like instead of being a spell they activate, it is always active... kind of like Histskin?

I would find this slightly less disappointing.

Dark Elf.

The only race I truly hate are the Altmer. Stuck up bastards.

Imperial, ability to pass all speech checks early on and still much later on. Also getting more gold works good for me.
