I'm about to make the transition from 1080p to 2k, but I don't know if the current generation of GPUs will have enough vRam to support my modded Skyrim. At the moment Skyrim uses 3.3gb of vRam. This comes fairly close to maxing out my GTX 680 with 4gb of vRam. As far as I know the most AMD's 2xx and Nvidia's 980 can put out is 4gb.

Will this still be enough to boost my resolution from 1080p to 1440p?
