[WIPz] Vurt's Bitter Coast Trees II

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 6:05 am

No, I didn't. I'm in the midgame with more than two hundred plugins loaded and evetything is fine with those trees. Just refreshed my savegame with Mash to avoid warning messages.

Oh, almost forgot, I'm on MGE 3.8.2 rev.161. Haven't tried the newer revisions like 178 or XE yet.

Try a later version, very often that seems to fix those issues for some reason.

Vurt, you didn't read me carefully, man! :)
I was unable to reproduce your issue, I'm afraid. Everything works like a charm on my PC, no ghost trees, no trees-transformers so far..

Just to clarify :) I have absolutely no issues with your trees even having them installed in the midgame! Everything's OK!

P.S. Maybe I should change my avatar to something more distinguishable?! :D

MGE rev 178 works fine for me and I don't have a great computer :) It adds caustics to water amongst other features. XE adds shadows to generated statics but removes water caustics :/
I generated Vurt's trees with rev178 many times and neved had problems with them, similar thing to Alexir, working fine with more than 200 mods :)

Vurt => beautiful version!

Just one little tjing :D :
The bottom branches of this model: vurt_UniCy01.nif, are ugly (sorry :( ) and seems not very natural (they look like a tree's arms) .

Have you looked at Bald Cypress trees? The lower part often looks like that:

not the best pics but...:

But yeah, it's not the best looking model in that pack, fortunately those trees arent used that much ;)

Ok.
Maybe you can makes these lower branches in 3D model and not in 2D plane ? or improved the texture of theses lower branches (removed also the white's edges) ^^

But after all, I will understand if you want move on a new mod/mod's update ;)

You are very nice :celebration:

P.S: have you fixed the problem of the grass textures in your latest version of your groundcover's mod?

The UV-mapping that was a tiny bit off on some texture? No.

Yes.

I have seen this bad UVmapping on these BC's trees =>

Unfortunately not easy to fix because of how i made the trunk on those trees, it'll either look stretched or it'll have a rather ugly seam, people will complain either way :D if i get my inspiration back to make trees i'll make completely new trunks for those and choose another texture that is easier to work with.
