There hasn't been any official word, but the mods http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/844726-wipz-vvardenfell-glass/page__hl__vvardenfell%20glass__st__180 has been dead for a while now. Although it has disappeared for long periods before too. It looks great, it's just too bad it has taken so long.

How did you get your hands on it? AFAIK nothing ever got released?

The armor itself was finished three years ago already. The two modders who made the armor (JCarl made the mesh and Grimdeath made the texture) have long since disappeared, but they handed over their work to someone else for release (make an esp file, maybe a small quest etc). Unfortunately the modder they handed it over to never released it but instead works endlessly (for three years now) on getting some recolors and retextures done. I, like many others, already posted in his thread that it's a bit unfair to keep the armor that everyone wants for himself (for three years now!) only to make sure that the release includes a few recolors and retextured vanilla weapons that aren't really that interesting for most people. It would have been a nice addition if he would have done it in a few weeks or maybe a month or two...but three years is a bit too long.

But uh...since the original creators can't be reached anymore and since he is the only one who has permission to release I doubt it will ever be uploaded to TESNexus for everyone to use.

wow, that is awesome! I'd have to ditch my paladin armor for that stuff and I don't even wear light armor!

Yeah, that's not right that he's been keeping it to himself this long especially since he was not the original author and was asked to finish it. At least he should release the original green glass and then update it as he goes.

Yep - last update was around July and there was still a lot to be done at that point so maybe in time for the TESV release ! Really is a shame that he didn't just stick to the original concept and get the single version\color released first and then if wanted spend the time to make all of the various weapons\color variations afterwards --esp. with all of the delays he has run into - at this point I've pretty much given up on it. and seeing that this is the first mention I've seen of it since back in July I think most others have as well.
