[REQ] Vvardenfell Imports Leveled Lists.

Post » Sat Nov 06, 2010 1:22 am

Hey guys/gals,

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28245 and its http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28246 include over 30 armor sets. So why not spread the wealth?

After years of playing TES IV, the one thing everyone wants is more variety. So how bout adding some of this stuff to the leveled lists?

Seconded!

I think all weapons/armor/item mods should be directly added to the levelled lists (by Bash tags?) - I am just never happy to find that one barrel behind the IC Market Place Statue that has everything from a mod in one place...

Well, it would be a lot more work, but wouldn't it be more fun to add the armors to unique locations? Like at the end of some hard dungeon, or hidden in someone's house. Some armor could be used in leveled lists, but other armor could be used in the game in this way.

Agreed. Ultimately the store was the easiest way to get all the armor in the game world without just dropping it in some chest. And Omegacron did an awesome job with it.

But It would be cool to delve into some forgotten cave on the mw border and have to take out a bunch of corprus warriors.

Absolutely love Vvardenfell Imports, and it would be great to see 'em in the levelled lists. :tops:

Well like Armamentarium both would be the best option.

Like having unenchanted versions on leveled lists and implemented via bash tags etc.

And have enchanted versions found in locations - provided that there is not serious editing to the locations and does not interfere with other mods that effect the same locales.

Indeed. I'm out of the modding game until I get another gaming computer (I'm also not a scripter).

So the million dollar question ... http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/28245-1-1259029378.jpg

It doesn't involve scripting. It's just a matter of creating few new levelled lists, filling them with desired items, and adding those lists to existing vanilla lists and of course give the plugin proper Bash tags.

So basically, thinking & planing and drag & drop. :)

I agree with Psymon that both would be ideal, however I would be totally happy with them in the leveled lists (which is really my criteria for downloading any weapons or armour mods; if it's in the LL's, I want it, if not then I'll leave it). I actually downloaded Vvardenfall Imports a (very) long time ago, but never installed it simply because I figured I'd go in the store once and that's be it. Anyway, I would REALLY love to see more of these kinds of armour mods (especially this one) made into LL mods...

I couldn't agree more. Oblivion has so many weapons and sets of armor that look cool but you never see anyone else using them. Everyone else is still wearing glass armor. The one mod I have always wanted would be a Item Overhaul. One which takes all kinds of armors and weapons from mods and then adds them to leveled lists.

that would indeed be amazing. i was actually working on a mod like that for personal use, didnt think any1 would interested though because it would more than likely be FCOM incompatible. vvardenfell imports would indeed though be sweet to see in oblivions leveled lists.

Probably not quite what your looking for but one of the mods I deem necessary for Oblivion.

I might still have my half started esp of this. I lost a lot of my motivation when a few of my favorites were pulled out of the original release. That among other things killed it for me. I might reinstall Oblivion again after a through cleaning/reformating of my PC. If anyone is interested in doing this or learning, I'll link my old thread about it here. In it I was a complete noob to modding and I asked for advice. I got some really helpful answers in there.

Hope that helps someone

By the way, here's what corepc (of Armamentarium fame) had to say about adding to leveled lists for compatibility with FCOM:

Not going to go into detail because it lengthy subject and may ways to do it. With something has complicated has FCOM is.

Best to add weapons and armor into OOO leveledlist once again for FCOM Compatiblity. Best example to look at is AramentariumLL4OOO has to what list to place stuff in has well.

And there is also this file to look at too has well..FCOM_NewItemTemplate under Modder Resources that has the main leveledlist that modders should use to place items and armor in.

Corepc

So, someone more technical - this is the way to go. If you got it (because this is way too complicated for humble me)...

Hmm, I'll take a look at it. If it's not over my head, and doesn't require reworking existing items in the LL's for balance I'll probably see what I can do with this...

EDIT:
Did CorePC mention where to find FCOM_NewItemTemplate? Like is it an online resource or somewhere in the FCOM download or anything? Can't seem to locate it :P

It'd be awesome if say, the netch and bonemold armor were put on the dunmer slavers in OOO, and the same with the Nordic stuff on the Bruma Bandits. Hell I'd do it myself if my construction set didn't explode every time I open it.

My preference would be for the unique armor sets (tribunal, house champions) to be left out of the leveled lists. Doesn't really make sense for a group of bandits to all be wearing vivic's holy battle garb, or even running around in indoril armor.

The best way to add those items would be to place them in a stash of some sort, (maybe thieves stole the holy items) or to add them to unique npcs (a couple of redoran champions guarding a hetman in a tavern).

It in the main fcom download, optionial addon folder, modders resource folder once again that plugin itself. Use that or

Else use ArmamentariumLL4OOO has a guide on what leveledlist to add weapons and armor to.

Good luck, just let me know if you need some assitance or get lost when it comes to placing them.

Remember Some of Vvardenfell Imports Weapons and ARmor are supposed to be rare, so try not add the rare stuff into too many leveledlist once again.

Also someone should build a Vanilla Version has well, for non OOO/FCOM users..Which is must simplier to do once again.

is there some way to have regional LL's, by which the bandit near the morrowinf board could have these items in there LL, the bandits near the skyrim board could as item from SageRimes armory in thier LL, etc, etc?

Cause i don't think i really want to have enemies all over cyrodill with morrowind armor/weapons

Few of the vanilla armors are native to Cyrodiil anyway though.

It woudl be kind of weird to see every other bandit wearing netch or bonemold. But at this point I'm so tired of seeing the same two or three armor sets I can over look it.

I'm not sure how the one piece armor sets could be incorporated, (vvardenfell iron, wolf, snow wolf, chitin, redoran champion ect ect). I assume the leveled lists will try to add greaves and boots at the same time which will remove the full set from the npc.

Can they be used as modder's resources?

I mean, adding them to leveled lists is nice and good, but it would be even better if, in addition to that, modders could use these new armors to give their NPCs unique looks, or as quest rewards etc.

A couple mesh authors like tda require their authorization to use their work so it would be wrong for me to make their meshes resources through my mod.

So as of now it's an ask first scenerio.
