They aren't THAT incompatible. Only some rocks and pillars are to be deleted.

Do you really need Cheydinhal Better Cities, though? Better Cities is modular, so you could always just turn Cheydinhal off while you use this mod.

Tried it. Everything is awesome and looks good the only problem I have is that when I try equip sotha sil's thinking cap my game crashes. Now we just need someone to do a weapons of morrowind mod and we will be in pure heaven :)

If I get some time this weekend I can try to move the store and clean up some of the pathing issues. No promises, though. I don't use Better Cities or Open Cities or any of those but I'm assuming anywhere outside the city walls is safe?

Lore-wise it would make more sense to add the store on the east side of the city, but there's really nothing over there yet. One of the mods I'm currently working on adds roads that lead out of Cyrodiil into neighboring provinces, so depending on when that gets done they may become semi-related. For now, though, I'll try to find a nice place outside of Cheydinal for an updated release. May take a weekend or two to finish.

UPDATE: I'll see if I can rollup myth's patch into it as well.

If you're going to move the store, chances are the west side of the city outside the gates is safe. East side and instead of people asking for a BC or OC patch, they'll be asking for a UL patch (soon) :) I'd also like to know one way or the other since I was planning to look at a patch, but that would be silly if you're moving it yourself.

Yeah I'll definitely do something with it, I'm just not entirely sure of the timeframe. If nothing comes up and I can work on it as planned, then it should be no longer than a week or two for an update.

UPDATE: Just as a disclaimer, btw - I plan on moving the store outside the city gates, removing any references to Cheydinhal cell changes, and fixing some of the pathing issues (anything that got missed after myth's patch). Anything beyond that will have to be done by someone else as I'm currently working on three major mods and several minor ones. I don't use many of the popular mods such as BC, OC, OOO, MMM, UL, etc. so I can't and won't guarantee 100% compatibility with any of them. Just wanted to say that up front so expectations are realistic...

Here are bugs I ran across.

Telvanni Dust Adept Helm: A break at the "adams apple" adam

Nord Fur Coat: Not really a bug, but there is practically a visible square of texturing on the upper back that stands out...and looks bad.

Redoran Guard Skirt: A break at the belt line.

Daedric Katana: Invisible when drawn, remains visible mounted on back, still does damage. Weird.

Nord Iron Cuirass L : Major bug. The arms are missing, and crazy stuff sprouting from where the shoulders should be zig-zags around the character... Even weirder. :ahhh:

Trollbone Helm: Serious breakage. Looks like someone cut this into a bunch of pieces and then tried gluing it back together.

Hoods much brighter: You already mentioned this, I believe.

Imperial Spearman Armor: Invisible calves!

Adamantium Cuirass: Visible and textured in the menu mode, upon entering back into the gameplay world, its still visible but lacking texture (its purple).

Note: When I mention "break" or "breakage", I am refering to textures/meshes/whatever having a visible "break" or crack or empty space where the player can see through. For example: The Redoran Guard Skirt has a crack running around the belt area. The texture/model for the area between the skirt and the body is, in other words, invisible, and I can see the floor, etc, through this crack.

Hope I explained that well enough.

Outside the west gate will avoid OC and UL problems at the very least. I suspect if you don't go too far away that OOO and/or MMM won't be an issue either.

Thanks for the list Fiore - I'll check those items as well. If myth's patch doesn't fix them and it's something I can fix from a texture perspective, I'll do so. I can't do a darn thing in Blender so any mesh fixes will have to wait until someone else can address them. I'm thinking Gmax may be more my style someday.

As for the location of the store, when I approach the west gate of Cheydinhal in my game I see two likely spots:

1) To the left of the gate up against the city wall in the niche beside the existing stable and building.

2) To the right of the gate (kind of around the corner) in the empty spot up against the city wall where there are currently some rocks and a log (or something similar). Everything else near the gate has trees or other major clutter and I don't want to move too far away from the gate.

I have several mods loaded but that area is still pretty much vanilla for me.

I'll take a look at those item fiore,

Some of it we'll have to live with (unless someone is able to take it on).

The nordic trollbone helm is a uv map issue and frankly I'm unwilling to spend the time nitpicking it in photoshop to blend all the seams together.

The fur coat is a blanket texture, (one large detailed texture thorwn over the shapes). If I have the time (and willpower) I'll go in and do a proper job.

Most of the other stuff is just construction set issues or unpathed meshes.

I'll probably release another patch tomorrow.

Hey myth - glad to see ya. I'll wait on the patch so I get the most up-to-date version before moving the store and such.

Did you get Slof's permission before using her stuff? She doesn't normally allow repurposing of her meshes. Also, the More Male Stuff meshes are a set made by me which I have specifically denied for reuse, and you definitely never asked me about those.

I'll have to defer that one to myth - I'm not aware of either. Which sets are these being used for?

The file is down atm. It was in the credits list, not in the few pics that were up. The More Male Stuff meshes include a Robert4 set of greaves with hanging panels (roman-style), sandals, and a briastplate joined front/back with chains. I've had no end of trouble with people assuming that because I let Slof retex them, it was okay for anyone to use them for whatever. Slof has informed me that some items of hers were also used despite the readme specifically saying "don't use these."

Always read the readme before using an author's items.

Ah ok - sorry about that. Myth is still watching this thread so hopefully he'll see this before he does the next patch. I'm sure it was probably just an oversight.

I can't wait to download this, so I hope this issue with the items is solved.

There busy making an elderscrolls 5 (are they, its been a while! [I'm sure they are but I hope it's really good for taking this long, not even any news yet.]) I think they should just convert morrowind (all of it) to the new engine. Tons would sell!

Alright, so this is completely my fault and due to my newb modders ignorance, but I used some meshes that were not for free use (in other words they were jsut for specific projects).

So the file is gonna be down for awhile until this is sorted out. Hopefully I can get permission, if not the items will have to be axed.

If you already have this mod, do not post it elsewhere until further notice.

Sorry folks.

by the nine divines, not this BS again. It got leaked anyways...

Edit-> Any mod maker should know that whatever you release on the internet immediately becomes the internets' property. You can't just assume everyone has the common sense or patience to read your information about what is ok to use and what not, more so if it's something specific out of an entire mod.

The best you can get from the community is your name in the credits for all the hard work you did and a pat in your metaphorical internet back. The best you can give to the community is your willingness to allow an obviously well thought out mod to continue albeit the fact you may feel screwed over.

That being said here comes your pat.
