***************************************************************** The Elder Scrolls III MORROWIND: Vvardenfell Visages Volume I*****************************************************************Index:1. Description2. Installation and Playing3. Usage4. Credits 5. Special Thanks6. Contact info***************************************************************** 1. Description *****************************************************************This is a pluginless replacer consisting of meshes and textures toreplace the original default Morrowind heads and hairs, to include both the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. However, only Morrowindis required. This pack covers Bretons, Dark Elves, High Elves, Imperials,Nords, Orcs, Redguards, and Wood Elves with alternate packs for the Orcsand vampire heads. Some benefits of using a pluginless replacer are less conflicts, no gmsts, and it frees up plugin slots. It also will replace any headsin new mods that weren't given unique heads so you'll never see thoseoriginal Morrowind heads again.***************************************************************** 2. Installation and Playing*****************************************************************Install the contents into your C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowindor wherever you keep your Morrowind folder. Allow any textures to overwrite as nothing has been changed. Play. Go ahead, you know you want to play. It's okay, do it now...Several Alternate folders are included in this for more choices:AlienSlof's VampiresBarabus' orcsBetter Heads original "pale" vampire headsSimply put the textures in the Textures folder and put the meshes in the "B"subfolder inside the Meshes folder. Note: If you find any heads not to your liking, they are easy to change.Find a head mesh and texture you do like, and simply rename the mesh tothe corresponding head you don't like. Install the mesh in the "B" subfolderof the Meshes folder, allowing it to overwrite the old one and then throw the new texture in the Textures folder. You're done. EZ-PZ.For example, if you didn't like the female orc vampire head, you'd renamethe new mesh you liked to B_V_Orc_F_Head_01 and let it overwrite the oldone in the "B" subfolder. Throw in the corresponding texture in the Textures folder and you're done.If this is too hard to figure out, drop me a line (see contact info below)and I'll be happy to walk you through it or if you're lucky, even do it for you because that's just the way I was programmed. ***************************************************************** 3. Usage*****************************************************************All I did was assign the meshes to Morrowind's original default heads. Therefore, if you want to use anything in this package, please contactthe wonderful modders in the credits below. Most have readmes for freeuse as long as credit is given. :) They're cool like that.***************************************************************** 4. Now I'm confused a little bit. Does this include every Better Head, so I could disable those esps, enable this one, and still have my current face?

If your current face from BH .. and you unselect it, you'll lose the face.. but the face is still there but under different name.,.. you'll need to console the face back in tru enableracemenu ... but I dont know if its feasible.

Thats how this replacer works to my understanding

EDIT: Thanks to everyone else that's commented so far! And the beer of course ;)

No, this doesn't include every Better Head faces, although it does contain a lot of the hair. There's less than a score of better heads in this, mostly Wood Elves and female Orcs... Most of the faces are by UQForgotten with a healthy dose of Westly and Rhedd.

There's nothing to "enable" with this because there's no plugin. Thus why it's called a pluginless replacer. You could disable Better Heads and use enableracemenu to change your head, or make a small plugin with the head you want to use for your character. There's a slight chance that your character's head might be included in this as well... I'd have to see a screenshot though ;)

I just tested this mod and it adds a lot of variety to the faces. So, all thumbs up! Some are extremely detailed and good-looking.

One problem though: I used Astarsis Faces before and had to deactivate the respective esm-file to make VvardenfellVisages work. I was pretty happy about all the new faces (although the Astarsis ones had been very good too) until I decided to take the mask off my own character and guess what...

I have no face! :bonk:

I'd really like to go on with VvardenfellVisages but I need to get me a face again. Any idea?

Can you use this in conjunction with Better Heads, or do you have to choose one or the other?

I'm one of those people that likes to have my cake and eat it too. :P
