WAC + OWCND Compatibility Question

Hi guys, I hope I can get some help with combining WAC and OWCND from someone with direct experience of the combination. I've had Oblivion for a while now, and for some time, on and off at least, I have been researching potential mod combinations. During my research wanderings I came across this thread:

www.gamesas.com/topic/1232576-complete-modded-oblivion-installation-guide/

Having read good things about WAC, and having zero experience of modding Oblivion, the linked guide and its contents appeal greatly. However, the guide seems to be partially out of date, in that under "OVERHAULS -> WAC Compatbility patches" the link given for the patches is broken. Google has been successful in finding a relatively recent WAC-ItemLootFix4v1.0b package (which is the aforementioned compatibility patch/es) but this version, unlike earlier versions, does not contain a WAC/OWCND-Overspawn.esp. None of the ItemLootFix packages I have managed to track down do, and the older packages which do don't seem to be available anywhere.
This could all be moot, in that the OWCND readme specifically states that it is compatible with WAC, as long as the WAC-Overspawn.esp is not used, plus the fact that in the readme for the ItemLootFix package it states that an overspawn compatibility patch isn't required.
So why do I ask the question, you may well ask? XD In the various threads I have read on the subject, it is mentioned a coupla times that it is the WAC-Overspawn.esp that controls the appearance of much of WAC's content, which creates doubt in my mind. Also, the threads I have read - including the above installation guide - are a good few months old now, and in the discussion and sample mod lists contained in them WAC/OWCND-Overspawn.esp patches are very much in evidence. In additon, I read a comment by the compatibility patches' author in which he said the reason he hadn't created a recent compatibilty patch for WAC/OWCND-Overspawn was that OWCND's creator hadn't given him permission.
Hence my doubt about what to do. So my question is should I ignore my doubts because of them being rendered moot by the facts given above from the readmes? Or are my doubts justified in that the recommended absence of WAC-Overspawn.esp would lessen WAC's input? And finally, even if my doubts are justified are they moot enough for me to just say to hell with it and go ahead with the installation anyway?
Thanks in advance for any help o7
