Wacky companions guild leader idea...

Probably I'm breaking all the rules of propriety posting this here, but I was wondering how difficult something would likely be, and if anyone has tried it or thought of it before. I have this idea that the harbinger of the companions ought to be able to send lower ranking companions out on quests. Essentially, you could send Companions out to clear the various fetch and kill quests you can accumulate as the game goes on.

I just like the idea of both having some kind of authority and being able, as Companions guild master, to quickly clear a bunch of miscellaneous fetch quests from my journal.

From a role playing perspective it makes some sense, but it was stated that the Harbinger is more a adviser than a formal leader. It would also require effectively rewriting every quest in the game to add extra options. If someone did want to do it I would hope that there would be a chance for the various Companions to say that really didn't want to do a particular quest and for them to fail at completing the task. (And if they did fail, it should somehow make the quest harder to complete for the player.) My version in particular sounds like a lot of work though.
