wait.. so is it 150 or 120?

Post » Mon Sep 26, 2011 6:44 am

In the demo for skyrim on youtube(part 2) The almighty todd said that the game would have over 150 unique handcrafted dungeons, but then some other sites like gamespot and eurogamer say that it has over 120.. Whats all this madness about??

I'm confused :ahhh:

Todd Howard vs. a website... Oh gee.

Regardless it wouldn't really matter to me; I still haven't been to about 80% of all Oblivion dungeons as they have nothing to offer.

Bethesda has released both numbers so both numbers will be found in various places. It was 120 back in Feb/March and by Jun/July it had grown to 150.

Over 100 is good enough for me. Like someone else said, I stopped going to Oblivion's dungeons, I was getting enough loot from quests and gates.

Don't joke about this. The mods will jump all over you. I got a "what if" post deleted once, and the moderator's response was, "But it isn't. So there's no point in discussing it."

Can you not read? His problem is that he doesn't know whether there are 150 or 120 dungeons in the game.

Can you? The latest numbers are saying over 150.

Uriel_Septim_VII was correct and his post was valid. Yours was not.

I agree with you 150 hand crafted dungeons is certainly better than 120 hand crafted dungeons. More is more and less is less.

Clearly he doesn't love math as much as some of us. Now who is up for an exciting discussion about set theory and how it applies to in game inventory management?

I'm hoping the 150 is correct as I'm sort of anticipating more of a need for dungeons in this.

Without the Oblivion Gates and the like we will actively have to hunt for better things more then we did. Aside from that, haven't they hinted at rare/unique loot being hand placed in some caves as rewards to find? To that end, the only way to find all this is gonna be to explore everything as with a game this massive waiting for someone else to find it and post a list will be awhile.

That aside, I figure there will be the need to hide from Dragons sometimes if you are hurting or not prepared to fight one.

Hiding in a cave fighting some bandits or monsters is much less risky then trying to outrun the dragon.

....unless it can come in after you in which case your screwed.

That sounds good to me. I love messing about in dungeons. It's nice when there's 100+ and you miss a few that a new character discovers sometime in the not too distant future... or something.

If there are only 120 dungeons, and you average even up to 3 full dungeons a day, it will take you nearly a month and a half to find and explore all dungeons at that rate. (this is dependent on playing every single day as well.)

That is alot of dungeons, and I don't think many are going to bother going through them at that rate.

120 is enough. But more is of course always better.
