The Power Armor reminds me Of Vampire Lord but slightly worse and no sun penalty.

That Deathclaw was massive compared to the ones in NV and FO3.
That's the first time we've seen the PC having a dialogue with another person post-war.
That crank up laser rifle is stupid.
Why would someone create a laser rifle that isn't reliant on energy cells or microfusion cells as they could store more power without the need for "cranking it up"?
But apparently it 'is' reliant on either of them as each time you fire it it costs ammo... Which you don't actually reload... Because you crank it up...
If the purpose was to create a weapon that isn't reliant on ammo which you could use indefinitely without worry of running out of ammo it'd make more sense.
But even then, isn't that what we got the Recharger Rifle/Pistol for?
And since Fallout 4 is most likely going to have an overabundance of weapons all over the place why would someone bother crafting something so limiting in the first place?
It doesn't look practical or useful or even logical to me.
Yeah its looking rough for surprise deathclaw fights but hopefully there will be abilities and special weapons that can be acquired to make a non power armored player stand a chance and not make power armor a requirement to fight deathclaws.
I think Power armor as a requirement is a given. I mean there's so much customization for the damned stuff, so I hardly imagine they give a damn about armor balance. And to be fair, the only game that ever did anything for armor balance within the entire series was New Vegas, so simply demanding Power armor would be par for the course.
That would imply every weapon is equally as common across the whole of America.
We can see from Fo1, 2, Tactics, 3 and NV that is not the case.
We one in which you could have the same level of DT as a power armor in Riot gear.Oh boy....
Not quite, but was fairly close, yeah. Believe it fell 7-8 DT behind.
Elite riot gear had the same as TD-45d power armor while not even having armored legs....
There's actual rain and rain particles show up on the screen too.
As 45, the worst of the bunch.
And yeah, the balance was by no means perfect, but it was still better than it's ever been. In rare cases, 45 was actually useful just because it had the best STR additions, which could allow for some good weapons to be wielded.
Lol, it's no secret that writing is not one of Bethesda's strong points.
Perhaps they didn't want to sacrifice anymore people from their group and decided to set up defense, where they could have a tactical advantage in one space, until a stranger came along they didn't care about losing.
This whole mission from the Kotaku leak looks to serve as a tutorial mission to introduce you power armor mechanics and 'execute criticals' during the deathclaw fight. Looks as if you can simply pick up the laser musket rifle and ignore heading inside the building to engage the mission period.

What I want to know, is why does a laser musket have smoke when it's fired.
As simplistic as it was, even Fallout 3 required the PC to have PA training, before they could wear and use a suit. Hopefully that hasn't changed.
I'm guessing armor training would be replaced by Strength and Agility. Agility would determine movement speed and Strength would make weapon handling easier like with that minigun.
Makes more sense to depend on your SPECIAL build instead of having to seek out missions in order to wear Power Armor like you had to do in Fallout 3.
Except it is, because Bethesda has used it in Fallout 3.
Not to mention the Deathcalws were said to be the result of genetic engineering, not FEV. the only FEV mutated deathclaws were the smart and albino ones in Fo2.
