Waiting

Ever since Morrowind, I've always had a problem with Waiting. To me, it's always felt really cheap to just be able to wait after a fight and be fully replenished. You got such an abundance of potions (Moreso in Oblivion than Morrowind) that it made me wonder what was the point of having potions in the first place.

I'm sure the same mechanic will be in Skyrim, it just irks me that there's essentially a full-heal-after-every-fight button.

Well mod that's involve character to have basic needs (eat and drink for example) will make harder simple waiting

I think it's like this in New Vegas, have to sleep to regain health, waiting doesn't cut it.

what was glorious was the off chance you had a detrimental spell effect or some such on you, you could die while wating however rare these were. but so long as you have potions you could pretty much fight all day

What bothers me about waiting is that it basically makes NPC schedules useless. No, you don't have to leave and come back at the appropriate time. Just use a menu option so you can do it NOW.

Got to take into account those that are not great gamers.
If beds are available all over and are in safe spots in dungeons or camp sites that's one thing.

If they don't power game and make a do it all character.
Then find out that unless you use magic, drink tons of potions or flee from everything, will mean you die after every X fights.
Those players will feel penalised.

It's along the same lines as fast travel, quick save, reload and sometimes glitch use.
Some like it others don't, some use it, others don't, some wan't it others don't, some say it should go, others don't.
Of those above I've not seen the removal of any in a vanilla game, apart from glitches.

Resting in FO3 did change so maybe it'll be the same for Skyrim, but don't forget FO is a survival based game somewhat.

I hate to be the guy to say it but you don't have to use it just because it's there, especially if it really bothers you.
