I've just had a very pleasant Sunday stroll through the Great Forest on the Orange road. The weather was fine and the scenery superb. There were a few critters to hunt along the way and some side roads to explore. A nice relaxing break from the serious business of saving the world.

You may want to edit your post to make it less spammy, but if this is a thread about the beautiful environment, I agree Cyrodrill has a very relaxing atmosphere especially with the music

I am fairly new to the game, about 40 hours in on my first play....but I found the snow effect at night in the woods near Cheydinhal to be very peaceful and relaxing.

And now back to the topic: I just did the exact same thing today. Kind of creepy really. :huh: I like the Orange Road the best out of all the roads, and especially that one part where you get a gorgeous view of the Imperial City. It's so nice and relaxing, even though I did have Minotaur Lords jumping on my back every time I turned around... Anyway, I usually skip out on fast travelling if the place I'm going to can be gotten to via the Orange Road. And that's saying something, since I'm sooo lazy with going anywhere nowadays.

A great place to relax is Dive Rock, assuming your not mauled by a gigantic, invisible, ice-monster, or that you don't slip and break your neck, or die of frost-bite.
And also, who would be dumb enough to set up camp on a tiny ledge of slippery ice,at one of the highest points in Cyrodril?

But anyway, I find a walk on the beaches near Anvil very relaxing, especially when the sun's setting.

One of my earlier characters went through an emotional crisis because of the violence that seemed to be everywhere and the lack of love which could be found nowhere. It was on a trip from Bruma to Chorrol along the Orange road and an experience similar to yours that she finally found the needed healing.

Also a great place to get rid of unwanted followers the Adoring Fan! Frostbite, gigantic ice monsters, slipping and breaking your neck... a killing combination for all NPCs, not just the PC.

On topic (if it′s about scenery and relaxing areas), I much prefer the forest, any forest really. But it′s in the Jeralls I get really relaxed and at ease with everything. Particularly the little road just about Dragonclaw Rock. And don′t get me started on Pale Pass. With or without the ogres, I get so relaxed and my blood pressure so low I almost faint

Also another great place to visit is the area surrounding and in the Marksman master trainers camp

I love the area around Cheydinhal in the evening, on a clear night. Very peaceful.

Okay, this thread just got a bit shorter. This isn't a spam thread unless people turn it into one. Handing out fishysticks is fine - but don't turn the whole topic into a fishystick party. That is spam, and it gets your fishysticks taken away.

I remember the first time going up a hill toward, I think Chorrol, when I turned around to see the Imperial City in the distance- it was breathtaking.

To continue my original thought(interrupted by the demands of fatherhood), I have had numerous other times where I felt compelled to stop and enjoy the peaceful moment. From atop the walls of Cloudruler Temple to the swamps of the South to the sunset over the sea to the west and the forests in the East.

Ah, Cloud Ruler Temple....such a beautiful place, I think it really should have been set in a different place, and with more stuf to do there. I'll admit there's nothing like reading a good book by the grand fireplace or visiting the stables, conversing with friends, it's a great place

This is one of my favorite walking trails. Minimal critters, ample selection of Steel Blue Entoloma. I also enjoy crossing that large spanned bridge, just beyond the Old Bridge. At dawn, with mist on the water, is quite beautiful.

Favorite walk is when you go by the bridge with the dead troll under it and read his note haha.

That always makes me sad. If he asked me to pay, I would've! Poor Troll
