Walking Speed mod?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:51 pm

I searched for this countless times and the best I could find is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10925, a great mod but it changes much more than just walk speed (I cant use it with some other mods I‘m using).

So, is there a nice and simple mod that increases the movement speed when walking only?
Or, although I doubt it, is there another way to do it?

Realistic Fatigue is only making adjustments to the vanilla walking speeds, so if you were to use the CS you could adjust it on your own. Just look RF's ini file to find out which settings it adjusts.

It would be a good place to start. After you open the CS, go to Gameplay/Settings. You'll find the settings you want there.

I tried that after reading your previous reply, its a dead end, you can only alter your overall speed that way as running speed is calculated using a formula which takes into account your walk speed too..

I also tried http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27954 mod which apparently makes walking faster (as it has 50% and 25% slower options), but I cant get it to work :(

You're mistaken. You're running speed is determined by the fMoveRunMult setting. By default the value is 3 meaning that running is 3x faster than walking. You can set that value to whatever you like, same with your walking speed. That is determined by the fMoveCharWalkMin and fMoveCharWalkMax settings. So you basically have total control over your movement speed with just those three settings. Then there's also settings for Sneaking and Swimming, so it doesn't look to me like it's a dead end at all.

Try here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33007

There spells, and 2 types, go the newb ones on installing, its the "Mages Lost Right" for the speed, if that helps any. I find it works well
