Want to add a trophy room to Battlehorn castle

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 3:00 pm

I tried asking in the mod section if there was a mod to add more trophies to the list but haven't got a response so i guess there isn't one out there.

So I want to know how hard is it for somebody who has no experience with modding a game to add a room to display monsters I've killed? I like some of the new monsters I've seen added with OOO,MMM and Fran's. I want to have a separate room to display them. I don't really have to use the taxidermist to add them. It could be something as simple as just adding a static version of the monster. How do I start and is it hard to do?

Static versions of creatures and NPCs are hard to do as new objects, but instead you could place X-markers to the trophy room, and whenever you want, a specified creature could spawn to the marker, and you could set their AI to hold by using *REF*.setactorsai 0.

Well you'll need to learn the basics of the CS first, but you seem to have chosen a fairly good place to start: building a room and adding a few scripts to freeze the creatures. Might I reccommend http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Category:A_beginner%27s_guide to get you started, then by all means have a go at making this mod.

Yeah I figured it would be something a little simple to start with instead of going for a full on house build. I think the hardest part will be adding the animals I want. Is there a place I can learn how to do that?
