WE WANT CROSSBOWS/SPEARS

Post » Thu Jul 15, 2010 3:55 pm

i also want unarmored back in.. clothes are pretty redundant without it. for the people who say spears or crossbows have the potential of being overpowered
1. this game is for entertainment, it is not a competitive online game like COD
2. magic has always been overpowered... paralyze+destruction spell+repeatition= gaybutt six
but it doesn't matter because the CPUs (the ONLY enemies in the game) don't use cheap tactics like that (usually)
i personally do not like dual wielding but i get it. people think it looks cool and the potential for complex strategy is epic. just like i think crossbows look sixy as hell (more armor penetration). spears could be in skyrim for the following reasons
1. running backwards is now slower than runnning fowards
2. blocking is now possible 100% of the time (unlike morrowind)
3. long heavy spears would obviously be slower than shorter weapons
if you have the balls not to use armor then you deserve to be rewarded for it

Your ideas are significantly better than your grammar and diplomacy :P

Maybe if you whine harder like a 5 year old they will listen. Grow up. Spears (traditional) are out, came from Todd himself.

I second that, the forums are getting soo annoying with these complaints.
Todd already said there isn't any spears.

I don't get this fascination for the unarmored skill. It made sense in Morrowind where the AC was more of a traditional modifier to the enemy's chance to hit. Ever since Oblivion AC is used to reduce the received damage.
So with this an unarmored skill would just make your skin harder so it could deflect sword blows by itself, which is just silly.

Now, I can imagine a perk or two from unarmed skill, that would give you a small AC bonus if you're not wearing armor, but you would still need to rely on dodging blows rather than endure them.

OP. As you can tell from the remarks so far - some of them unnecessarily rude - there have already been several topics about this. Perhaps if you find one and add your thoughts to it it would be a better idea than allowing members to give me work warning them.
