I want a divorce

This is my worrys you get married and the wife moves in. you come home after your usual ransacking and pillaging and leave your treasure in the house layin around. since npc's are now known especially to pick up stuff you drop what if the wife starts stealing all of your stuff?

I think they would fix stuff like this. In Oblivion, the Knights of the Nine would steal things from your chest occasionally.

In theory she would give it back to you.

Unless you piss her off, then you might get a warhammer to the back of the head while your sleeping.....

Legitimate concern...I hope not. Otherwise, I guess I'll get to work on my pickpocketing haha.

But they aren't supposed to steal unless told to.

Using that logic, wouldn't NPC's go into shops and take whatever?
Even if they don't, put that stuff in some chests or something.

one question...if you can get a divorce, will it be the old fashioned "warhammer to the head" or a long process of divorce papers?
P.S. the person you marry should do things like bring you a lockpick in jail

Well considering a spouse would likely take half of your fortune through a 'legal' divorce. I opt for the more bloody approach.
