I want an enemy that's practically IMPOSSIBLE to beat outsid

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:44 pm

If you ever played Final Fantasy VII, then you'll remember Ruby Weapon (or to a lesser extent, emerald weapon). It took me months after i beat the game to take him on. The Final Fantasy's have done this with a lot of their games and i think it's something Bethesda should consider.

Maybe some enormous creature in a huge underground cavern, that doesn't level scale, and it takes a super-high level character to beat, with some reward that's really worth it.

Or a master swordsman, who lives on top of one of the largest mountain who is seemingly impossible to best.

OR a huge water monster deep in the ocean

Something along these lines is something I would love in Skyrim, or at least one of the expansions.

Would be a nice challenge for high level character. Requiring bravery. boldness, and combat prowess.

I'm sure there will be many mods that will do just this, and more :)

I'd love to stumble upon a superpower that challenges me to combat (after warning me sufficiently). I'm not sure that I'd like to stumble upon something that slaughters me one-sidedly as soon as it sees me.

Lol. Since level scaling will be based greatly on location, I'm sure you may come across some enemies that will do just that.

Oh i gotcha, well i'm guessing that since there is no level cap, there's always going to be something that's a challenge, and due to there being no level cap, i wouldn't be surprised if they had some ultimate challenge

I would gleefully proceed onto the location(s) to get my ass kicked by something uber powerful :D

I think thats how Dragons function early on as the GI mag details the player and a Dunmer running away from a Dragon.

I do love hidden super bosses, especially when they make even the main villain of the game look like a pushover. Doubt we'll get one though. Those usually seem more common in JRPGs. Heck, even Culex in the original Mario RPG was awesome :)

I forgot about Culex!!! He was so tough/interesting. And yeah you're right its a japanese RPG thing, but we're America so we can make it bigger and better... or at least bigger.

Lots of rpg's have optional or even secret bosses that are a lot stronger than anything else in the game. It could be cool to find something like that in an ES game. It would have to be really out of the way though, I don't wanna be out doing my dungeon diving and run into an uber-boss that just happens to be there. Maybe make a special dungeon that you would have to intentionally look for. Maybe like the Uderfrykte (sp) matron in Oblivion except without the scaling. And not invisible >.<

Maybe it could be something that isn't even hostile, like Firkraag from BG2. He was just an all-powerful evil ass-hole dragon that was carrying an awesome weapon and scales for Armor forging.

this would be a very nice, after im done the main story I can get shouts and prepare for this battle perhaps if its a dragon rewarded by the final shout?

Well if there’s an unbeatable master swordsmen up on a mountain, then maybe his monkey ass can save the world.

I like the idea though.

Yeah but he is a hermit who has lived for 100's of years, and he gave up on humanity long ago. He doesn't meddle in the affairs of weak men.
