I want To Explore the Rest of the City

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 10:59 am

All of these military/police barricades are kind of getting in the way.

How do I walk around them?

I want to explore like I did in the first Crysis.

man, you know how many space on HD of full NY map will be in crysis? And how long needed time to build such map in crysis, that will have all NY?
You can't go through the some map barricades. It's the end-line of the maps. Cause there will be needed a very long time to create whole NY map in crysis.
And with even whole map of NY game will not launch in anyone. RAM will be exhausted to fill this map in running game CAuse that will be hell-large-big-OMG-biggest-game-map with all details and etc. That will fill ram completely, and overflow it.
But if make it by parts problem of RAM will be solved. But problem of time still will be. Whole! NY map in crysis...is a problem. It's not stalker. And even there were not such big map.

Because the Xbox couldn't handle open areas like the first game. That's the whole reason they did C2, so consoles could get a crysis game.

Well GTA IV allows you to walk everywhere but they didn't open up the building as much as they could, probably dude to console limiations.

Well, you can have an open game, or you can have crysis2-level image quality, buy you can't do both with a console... that's why PC users were a bit sad with this game, the potential if the engine was fully unleashed is staggering.

Once we get our Sandbox you can get rid of the barriers and recreate the rest of the city :)

^Yea, but for now you'll just have to stick with GTA IV to do city explorations...although that game isn't much better either...

Oh don't even remind me about that game. It's as terrible as a console port can get.

Most unstable, buggy, unoptimized, game I have ever seen on PC. On the other hand it was a lot of fun on my friend's PS3. It's just a pile of **** on PC.

Much better with ENB series mod. The consoles don't even come close and it makes the PC version look fantastic. In defensive of GTA, it never really ran well and was always buggy, GTA IV was no different, just one game that was very taxing.

with ENB series mod it runs even more poorly than it already does, I really hate playing slideshow games, especially when I built this rig as a Crysis killer.

What do you mean? Plays just fine on my GTX460 and it's not "slideshow" either.

This isn't Crysis 1 where you have a full island for exploration.

This is Crysis 2, aka natively console built, **** on PC.
