Don't you worry.

Regardless if there's fishing or not, I'm almost positive you'll get your survival mode.

If it doesn't show up in the vanilla, someone'll deffffffff make a mod.

I fish a lot in real life so I always find fishing in computer games laughable. I wouldn't be against it if it wasn't as boring as in WoW, and the mechanics were innovative. I don't know how all these mini games people keep suggesting would work in TES, where you always have so much to do. It's basicaly for games that are intristically boring and target the OCD crowd. So, I am undecided on the matter, basicaly I think I'd only want it in if there is a survival mode.

Ofcourse I would like fishing, but let's addmit it... most chances it won't be included by Beth, 100% will be included by the moderators community. Leaving that aside, even if we as the player couldn't go fish, it makes sense to see a few NPCs fish around in the vanilla version, as there are lakes and dock-cities, which I think fishing should be a must have to explain their economy, I mean... if not the sea, then what else provides the economy of an entire city?

well you could go fishing in oblivion (with you sword lol) & we know there are fish in skyrim, so at the very least you'll probably be able to fish with your sword again(which is funner imo)

I hope there is actually fish in the water and not just a few slaughter fish in a few places like oblivion. The oceans and ponds are basically dead in oblivion its about time that more underwater life was added. As for fishing its nice to have but nothing beats jumping in the water and punching the fish in the face.
