This is a very important topic for me.My greatest pleasure in Morrowind was to place the items I collected around my house.I decorated it with not just artifacts but with everything I liked.

However,in Oblivion,items would launch into walls,preventing me.

Even in display cases, the items still continued struggling to declare their freedom and fly into the endless void.

I sure hope things get better in Skyrim!

Display cases ... meh. I'd like to have some, but not too many. Looks weird then.

Putting stuff on your walls! YEH!

I'd like a proper trophy room. Well I'll make one in my house mod anyway, but it would be nice no to have to mod displays and weapon/armor stands and just have them in a base game file, I always tended to use the ones form the Mournhold expansion instead of custom made displays in Morrowind :) As for taxidermy - not my style, but I'd like an option to have some "epic paintings" of my char heroically killing something scary, or maybe even magical imprints of the beasts for display. But not actual dead animals in my home, that's just gross.

Hmm! That gives me an Idea! Finally a companion that would be useful! I'll start a thread about it!

The trophy cases in Oblivion were buggy, and ugly. Just an option to hang weapons on the wall. Bookcases and tables work well for everything else.

Although, we really do need armor mannequins. And maybe a skeleton on display. But no huge anachronistic glass cases.

I always like collecting memories/trophies from my adventures. In OB the little circles around the main hall in Frostcrag (the ones in the room as you enter the building) had rare and powerful weapons floating (Decorator Assistant), the altar was filled with magical items and so were the walls, Mehrune's Razor was placed in the palm of the frost atronach in the main hall etc. Towards the end of the game it was nice to walk those halls and remember how I got every item.

So yeah, display places are always welcome :)

I would like this in addition to armor stands. I played Oblivion on a console and really missed displaying all of my armor properly.

Yep, cases, stands, wall hangings... all of it good (and the ability to bump a bookshelf/table without everything on it shooting off and bouncing around the room :swear: )
