There's a chair you can build just for her, it should be labeled in the workshop menu

Do what I did. Build here a chair in the far corner of the settlement, wait for her to be sitting in it. Then build walls around her.

I persuaded her to stop using drugs, just because I want the old bat to linger on and suffer. Did Bethesda mean for Momma Murphy to be such an unlikeable character? Everyone I talk to seems to hate her, and all the Let's Plays I've seen of Fallout 4 so far the Youtubers try to shoot her, etc. Many a True Nerd fenced her in to try and get her to starve to death.

I think it's the fact that she tries mystic jumbo on you rather than giving real advice on a kidnapped child, and then it turns out she is a junkie.

I like to have my junkie character do drugs in front of her and not share.

It's... just a chair. It's not even that hard to build... why does that make you want to kill her?

Hey that's what I used to do in "the sims". Invite that rich lady home, flirt, flirt, flirt, marry, wall her in, wait until she dies, inherit 50 000 $ or so. Mama Murphy got some life insurances?

Personally its the whole weird destiny bit. Same sort bull they pulled at the end of fallout 3. They really need to shy away from magic in fallout, instead of doubling down. *Looks at his legendary minigun that has explosive bullets*

You went "The Sims" on her ass.

xD

ManyATrueNerd did something similar. He assigned her to be the lookout since she is the perfect watch person. Then built a fence around her... lol.

Honestly people seem like thin skinned whiners, I dont see any issue with her, if anything I like her because she isn't a smooth voices photo model, she is a flaws individual, like a real human being. I was saddened by her death.

Her response to finding out your son was kidnapped was, "I feel his life energy." "Oh, what? No. I don't know exactly where. Why don't you try searching in the biggest city in the Commonwealth." "Oh, by the way, got some drugs?"

She's an exploitative charlatan who uses your grief to try and feed her drug habit. Forget her.

Huh... I find Mama Murphy to be one of the most likeable characters in the entire game. So she's a junkie, so what? Coulda been worse she might be a nose-picker, eh? Anyway, I definitely prefer her over Preston, who no matter how many settlement quests I have in holding patterns, never fails to give me another one if I get within 10 feet of him.

Marcy, whose only redeeming quality is a penchant for sarcasm? Jun who is basically a worthless sniveler? Sturgis, who is a nice guy, and a repairman who can't seem to fix, repair, or build anything whatsoever?

No thanks, I'll take the mystical junkie who is at least interesting, and has an extremely talented voice actor to boot. C'mon, fess up. On your first playthrough, did you really not get a chill up your spine when she described what's coming?

Unless she knows everyone in Boston, or has 100 points in luck and made a Damn good guess, I know at least one "sight" that was far from a charlatan thing.

I don't like Mama Murphy. Her "divine powers" are even less credible than aliens. And I like aliens. She's one of the few things in the game that breaks the Fallout setting.

I hate her character, I hate her chatacter model, I hate that she's unkillable (like freaking 90% of NPC's) and I hate how I can't tell all those useless lazy Minutmen a-holes to get out of my town.

If you are referring to the one I think you are, I'm assuming she had history with and special knowledge of that particular character. He's not exactly small time, and her past hints at involvement with crime.

I hate "psychics" and "mystics" as delusional or cruel people in real life, though. So I'm sure that shadows my feeling about her character.

She does have a vision that helps you when you're rescuing Valentine (cant remember exactly what but she tells you to say x when you meet ). When you meet the Triggerman boss guy you mention what she said he's all like "How did you know about that?!" and lets you go.

She's annoying but there's far more annoying people. Like Piper.
