Personally I'm guessing there will be a obligated boss fight with you fighting a avatar of Alduin. However Alduins true form however is revealed near the end not as a exceptional big dragon which has been done time and time again but instead for something a bit more interesting. The sky is bloated out by his true form either has a vortex as a blackhole or better as something akin to Azathoth as Hell mouth has mentioned in a nightmare inducing http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EldritchAbomination. You fight his avatar under said sky covered Alduin or go though a major plot revelation.

Hermaeus Mora is pretty much the Azathoth of the Elder Scrolls.

See, I don't want to just fight an avatar of Alduin, I want to fight the real deal. Even if it's not accurate lore wise, because he's a "god" and you, some measly dragonborn, can't hurt him. I WANT to hurt him dammit, I vote Gameplay > Lore in this boss fight.

I'd like to battle the timelost memories-made-flesh of Alduin-Auriel-Akatosh across a vast, churning landscape of scale and claw; the world eater's physical form. Finally we reach his mighty snout overlooking High Hrothgaar, and battle his Voice of Voices to break the dragon.

I agree. We should be able to kill Alduin, make him our [censored], and take his place as God of Time, or whatever. Bethesda needs to learn how to make a story epic.

Lesson 1: Be able to kill a god.
Lesson 2: Be able to become a god.

Seriously, it's not like TES lore is beyond untouchable or anything. Oblivion has proven that handily enough. Lets at least spice it up if we're going to be messing with it, right guys?

Alduin should be much bigger than that. Like, the size of the world big.

You can't possibly think you can kill him....

Creating Numidium only hurt him a bit (Causing the Warp in the West), it took even more to try and remove one of his aspects.

So yea.. In my opinion it shouldn't happen 'cause it's completely against lore.. I'm sure there would be another way to stop him... Killing him would make things worse. MUCH worse.

And Hellmouth, if he eats the world he should be bigger than the world no? xD

Another question on the lore. After talking with the Graybeards its said that nords couldn't look directly at Tiber Septem without seeing a dragon. Is...that gonna happen to us when we talk with the Graybeards? What brought about the Nords only seeing a dragon when they looked at Tiber anyway?
