I want to make a mod that sounds simple

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:56 am

I have never ever made a mod but if this is simple I just might get in to it. I want a spell that will increase my stats shade my character to a greyish color and add wings. I also want to make a summon skeleton spell but I want the skeleton to be huge and purple. These things should be simple right? I dont plan on making the wings myself. I will ask another moder if I can use his. I am determined to do this. Someone help please. Ive read wikis and all kinds of tutorials but im clueless.

I guess it depends on how you define simple :)

I've only messed around with the Oblivion CS a little but I don't remember an option to shade a character, so if you want a purple skeleton you'll need to retexture it and if you want the character to become gray you'll have to equipment them with something gray.

... and add wings.

Well that certainly won't be simple. Even if you get your hands on some premade wings you'll still need to attach it to your character's skeleton somehow. That involves 3D modeling which is not a simple thing to do.

No i mean thats two separate things. Forget the wings i with use rings to wings.
first mod: a spell to change my characters color and increase his stats.
second mod: summon skeleton spell that has the skeleton at a gigantic size and if at all possible a different color also.

Will that be any easier now that the wings are out of the question? lol

Seems it would be pretty easy. The CS wiki has a tutorial on a creature summoning script, all you need to do then is retexture and scale up the skeleton. Increasing stats just means a Fortify effect on the spell, and you can get the gray color by using http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/PlayMagicShaderVisuals in a script effect.

Okay the skeleton sounds the easiest so ill do that first. With the construction set i figured out how to make a summon skeleton spell and add it to a store. But i cant figure out how to make it bigger.

Under the "Stats" section while editing your skeleton creature you will find the "Base Scale" setting. Just increase that.

I cant find it. All I have is the option to change its duration.
