[REQ HELP] I want to make Morrowind Perty!

Post » Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:12 pm

Hello helpful and honoured Morrowind modding community. I have been out of the Morrowind modding loop for quite some time and with the coming of Elder Scrolls V I wanted to revisit the beloved III game of the series. My question to you is would you please be kind and guide me to the latest and best visual/graphical mods everyone uses in the year 2011 to take the max out of the game.

I used the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1155980-povuholos-tomorrowind-a-mod-recommendations-list-for-today/ list of mods and the game looks amazing now.

ToMorrowind is a nice list indeed! There is the http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html list but that is not only for graphics & Sounds.

Or maybe you can wait this: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1156204-wipz-morrowind-overhaul-sounds-graphics/

Make sure you can run MGE at those settings, with those shaders etc. That guide expects you to have a powerful PC, and I see a few errors and odd details there.
A decent guide, but remember that everything is optional.
I suggest the ToMorrowind thread linked above.

Well messed around with it and what do you know. The game broke from all corners of the world. Grass is [censored] up(impossible to remove as it got overwritten by 3-4 different plug-in'less mods and hell knowns what the original files are) and MGE by those settings and all the extra mods baggage took the system to a crawl. So going to start from a clean slate and by other peoples guides.

So a warning to everyone.

Not that I consider myself to be an authority on it by any means, but my most list does have a rather long list of suggestions for using MGE sensibly without crippling your system in the process.

I don't think I explicitly state it (at least not in my commentary for MGE), but yes, I consider any kind of grass mod to be one of the easiest ways to slow your game to a crawl, and thus have never recommended them.
