I want my MWSE back :(

Post » Sun Oct 03, 2010 2:34 am

Okeey... So I previously had the same problem with MWE and it's basicly that I can't load many of my savefiles after a while playing with one of these utilities... And the only way for most of my savefiles to work is to disable MWSE... but I have like these 2 super essential mods for me wich I just can't live without with... (or at least not play MW withouth) namely Horatio's NPC Enhancements and the Pursuit Enhanced mod.... and well... I don't want to choose between decent saves and good fights.... and well... there are alot of people out there who have both... So... well... Does anyone might know how to solve this...

I've already seen some posts discussing this but most of them just advised to reduce the used mods.... but my modlist is IMO not really that big...

*scratches head*
Hmmmmm, that's an easy one. Looks like there's a conflict with Gamefile # 19, 47, 94, 218, and 527.
I have no idea, man. Best of luck! Just bumping ya.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I have to be careful with my own mods, or else they CTD instantly. :( But I've always been able to fix this by following these steps:

Disable the two MWSE mods.
Load the save that's having issues. If it loads fine without the mods, then save again into a new save file. If not, clean the save with Wrye Mash and try again.
Exit and re-enable the two MWSE mods.
Load the new save you created and see how it works.

That solves 90% of my MWSE problems, hope it helps you. You'll probably have to redo a few things you've already done, but you've got your save back.

Try loading your save file in Enchanted Editor, then saving it to a new file (without actually editing anything.) See if the new file will load. That often resolves the broken reference problems caused by Pursuit Enhanced and NPCs Enhanced.
